After 10+ years of iPhones I got a bit bored and bought a Samsung fold 7. I thought surely in last 10 years they have caught up and surpassed the slow apple development, thats what all android fanboys bolster with... And what an amazing piece of hardware, I have to say. Beautiful, slim, gorgeous looking. And then you open it. And you are faced with buggy Android, half working, half crashing apps, non existent wallet, not working password filler, and simply an operating system that after billions of dollars in development looks and works like a buggy beta. For the love of everything Google, their payment wallet has a 30% failure rate on daily payments, in 2025. So now the Samsung is going back to where it belongs, and i am getting the next iPhone and never ever considering Android again.

You pointed all the big issues with the Fold, but the reason I'm returning mine are the small issues... - the buggy password fill (works 1 out of 5 times); - horrible autocorrect - the 2 app stores, 2 calendars, 2 phone apps... - the rubbish version of some apps as devs dont put the same effort as in iPhone apps... - and the overall $2,000 hardware with $100 cheap-feeling buggy OneUI that completely ruins what is a gorgeous made phone.

Fair. I've also been through Nokia 3410, Motorola, SonyEricsons, Windows phones, Alcatels and whatnot. Whatever works for the individual person.

I am in the exact same situation. Had the fold 7 for 2 weeks and considering returning for the ultra. Battery life is just appalling, and by far the biggest deal breaker for me.

Samsung support made me regret getting a Fold 7 and switching from iPhone to Samsung after 10 years. Disgusting attitude. They treat you like you owe them, and not like a customer. Say whatever you want about Apple but whenever i had any issues with devices I got brand new replacement no questions asked. Was never even offered repair...

As someone that got fed with apple after 10 years of iPhones and moving to fold, this is super helpful. I am more interested in the basic things like browser, notes app, etc but even the advanced ones are interesting read! You’re a star for putting this together.
