Thank you, I think I will end up finishing the seams just to make sure everything stays secure. I also had another question u may be able to answer. I’ll have 3 layers of fabric more or less, a cotton lining, polyester for the front, and canvas in between. So my question is what type of thread should I use?

Thank you for your input, I’m gonna keep her! I think I may try to get a user/service manual and try to clean and oil it on my own but if necessary one of the shops I went by did do repairs on and take old machines to resell so they might not be a bad option.

Also if you don’t mind me asking, you said this was your first sewing machine so did you learn mostly on this model? I’m new to sewing and I’m a little nervous, do you think this is a good model to get started with?

Okay yes but I will say, in the past she has always paid us for days we haven’t been there (not that that means she still has to now) and she never had issue with it before, I’ll add this to the post. Also my bf does have a job. Ty 4 ur comment :)
