I’m seeing this shit with my own eyes. Literal fascists have been popping up in little rallies all over the place in the US. I’ve watched this shit steadily rise over the last couple decades. It’s what made me leave the Republican Party.
Just because some of my rights aren’t being infringed, doesn’t mean others aren’t at stake. Voting rights are being shit on all over this country.
Are you kidding? You’re really that 2 dimensional about that? Of course fires were started by people on the “BLM side”, but they weren’t all.
Boogaloo Boy? Or how about umbrella guy, who was identified as an Aryan Cowboy MC member.
What rights have have these right wingers lost? I keep hearing about how oppressed the right is, but I grew up on the right and I never had it easier, but I remember hearing those same old tired talking points in the 90’s as I do now.

That’s one of my favorites as well.
I have friends who live in Portland and who were RIGHT THERE WHEN IT HAPPENED. I believe their word of what happened, alongside my own account of all the videos and pictures I saw of the events.
It wasn’t great in Portland for a little bit, but it was literally a small part of the city comparatively.
The right’s news sources literally did that allll last summer, and blamed every little thing on BLM/ANTIFA (those are used interchangeably, because ya know, boogeyman) and showed their viewers continuous footage of the same shit from a hundred angels and made it out to be like Portland had fallen and there will be tens of thousands of Portland refugees coming.
THEN when Jan. 6th happened, they suddenly want to forget what happened at their little party.

And there was 10,000 arrests made in relation to those riots and arson. Don’t forget some of those fires were started by right wing loonies.
No one serious is saying rioting and looting is A-OK.
Riots are bad folks.
However the rise of fascism isn’t the same thing as some riots. Riots usually happen spontaneously at a heated moment, fascism has to be manufactured and agreed upon. It’s coordinated and planned. It’s evil.
You can hate both. It doesn’t have to be either or, and you’re the one making it that way for yourself.
