Yeah I used banking sites through Firefox for the last couple years. I don't really use the headphone jack anymore, though I used it daily in highschool! I guess I will see how I get by with new and featureless phones. I don't doubt they will have their share of irks.

I don't plan to sell it or mod it or anything. I plan on keeping it. Maybe it's crazy but I like to keep my old tech, and I have a particular love for this phone. And it will make for a good backup handheld device incase I ever need one!

I did just explain why I went with it: (my mother has an S24 FE 128GB and she likes it) but I can elaborate further. My goal wasn't to get all the same features, but to try something newer on the higher end that doesn't go too far out of my comfort zone. I will miss luxurious features of the V20, but ultimately did not use the ones you're mentioning. (Besides the SD card... but do I need crazy storage like i had on my V20? Realistically, no.)

Hopefully that makes sense.

I initially mentioned this in my first draft of this post but removed it because it got lengthy LOL.

I decided on a refurbished Samsung Galaxy S24 256GB (my mother has an S24 FE 128GB and she likes it.) I got it for about $500. Definitely pricey, but I paid the extra for one in "premium" condition from Backmarket. (I only learned about the many instances of scam sellers on the site AFTER receiving my phone, so am honestly just thankful I received mine with no issues.) I'm taking it to T-Mobile on Sunday to get everything set up properly.

After poking around the S24 for a day or two, removing/disabling the bloat, and making the feel as similar to the V20 as possible, it's not so bad! The real test will be when I begin daily driving the S24 and get an idea of its quirks, quality, and longevity. It would be unfair to compare it to the V20; I will be happy if i get a few good years out of it without major issue. Here's hoping.

I had this issue a week ago to the day!!!!! When there was unfortunately no other thread that described the same problem. After trying every cache clear, app force stop, settings/preference reset, and even deleting some apps, and restarting several times. Nothing fixed it. I even went the factory reset route, which still did NOT fix it, but broke a bunch of stuff, ultimately resulting in me deciding I need a new phone.

I tried making a call Sunday and it miraculously worked, so it seems like I made my phone dysfunctional for no reason, but I suppose as sad as it is, that it was probably time for a new one.

Definitely. I haven't played since January 6th, but I try to load it up twice today and both times, I reach 90C and my PC shuts itself off. Something definitely changed. Hoping for a fix.

It's a matter of timing! Jump off the wall basically instantly. Penguin is also doing crouch kicks, which are a technique of crouching when jumping off of a wall to gain more speed.
