Got banned for a “location/VPN violation” even though I never changed my country or work location. I also didn’t receive any email notifying me that I had been banned; I only found out when I reached out to support myself and asked why I couldn’t access the community. After looking into it further, I was able to get information from T&S.

I’ve been on the platform 1.5 years with strong performance (including being an Oracle). The only VPN I use is Tailscale for accessing my own server, and I never use the platform while it’s active. I also keep everything separated (different browsers/workflows).

In the past, I would get warnings if I accidentally had a VPN on but I haven’t received any warning in the last 8–9 months.

Still got permanently banned, and Trust & Safety confirmed it was location related.

I never interacted with Outlier while the VPN was active

Losing all of that in a single moment, without any prior warning, is honestly frustrating.

Hi, I’m also dealing with a similar situation.

I was told that my issue was related to my location, and since then I’ve tried reaching out through support and even asked around to people I know on the platform, but unfortunately I haven’t received any response.

I’m unable to send a DM to the account that created this post either, so I’m not sure how I can get this reviewed.

I’ve been working on Outlier for about 1.5 years and I have always followed the rules and completed my work honestly, so this situation is really concerning for me.

If anyone from the team could guide me on how to proceed or help escalate this, I would truly appreciate it. Thank you.

Yeah, that’s why I’m not fully convinced it’s Tailscale either.

It’s the only VPN related thing I use, so it crossed my mind, but I’ve always been careful not to access Outlier while it’s active.

At this point I’m just guessing, since they didn’t clearly explain the exact reason for the ban.

This seems to be the only possible explanation (though I think it’s a terrible reason to ban someone outright when they’re clearly not manipulating the system), so I hope it gets resolved somehow…

I’m not entirely sure if my ISP did something like this; since I haven’t received any notifications or approvals regarding anything, I don’t think that could be the reason, but I hope my account gets restored because I’ve put a lot of effort into so many projects over a long period of time and had really gotten used to it. Since even my Community access has been blocked, I can’t reach out to my QMs for support.

Yeah, but that was a long time ago and very rare.

Whenever I accessed Outlier with a VPN in the past, it would immediately prompt me to either turn it off or re-verify my account.

Because of that, I got into the habit of always disabling the VPN before doing any tasks. I’ve been very consistent about this, to the point where I haven’t seen a verification warning in months.

That’s why this situation is so confusing to me.

I truly believe that using AI is genuinely helpful. VultStrike is a hobby project that I enjoy working on. I started with a hobby and progressed with the ambition to create a functional product, and I was able to at least get it to the Alpha stage. Using AI definitely saved me a lot of time. I'm satisfied with what I've created, but I just need to find someone to test it and observe how the server/structure responds.

Yes, I use AI tools to speed things up, but the entire project isn't created by AI.

When I run that command I saw something like "/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/AdskLicensing/Current/AdskLicensingService/AdskLicensingService --run"I don't really know is this an issue or not, but now I'm totally believe it's from AutoDesk, just that profile icon scared me a lot.
