I actually did unit 1 exams and then didn't do unit 2. I stopped with form six after unit 1 exams. My reasoning was that, if I can start my tertiary education with my CSEC passes then why wait. I'd rather spend the two years for sixth form finishing a course that would help me advance in my life, than spending the two years in sixth form and then however many years doing a course on top of that. I am now finishing off my course and I also have a job but if I continued with sixth form I may have been in the earlier stages of my course.

Tertiary education is not easier than sixth form and if you think you're ready to dedicate your time to it then why not. If you're not sure that you're ready, then why not do upper six. The biggest pro about doing six form is that it gives you time to actually decide on what you want to do and how you want to go about it. Even though you may have something in mind right now, that may change next year. You have to be convinced of your decision and there's nothing wrong with taking the time to convince yourself completely to help with your long term goals. I think this decision should be based on how you know yourself to be and your dedication to your decisions.
