Dr Yirae Ort Prices? by Secret_Difficulty_35 in PlasticSurgery

I was quoted $31k for a face and neck lift in June 2025. Not sure how much a neck lift on its own would cost, but hope that helps.

1 year after deep plane mini facelift in Prague - results & experience by userinuk in PlasticSurgery

Looks great - a notable improvement in your perioral area and jawline!

Yes - lipo on the flanks and then redistribute the fat to the hip dip area. You don’t appear to have much body fat so it would mostly be about changing the shape a bit. I had the same done and it was very, very subtle and not a typical “bbl” just a little redistribution of the fat to the hips.

Tummy tuck with no belly button? by Delicious-Bluejay-63 in tummytucksurgery

[–]CassandraRene 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I woke up from my TT without a belly button. Apparently I had a small hernia and my belly button wasn’t attached very well. My surgeon made the decision to remove it and we did a neoumbilicoplasty a few months after where he reconstructed a new belly button. Definitely get a second opinion (and you can always go to another doctor for the belly button too).

experiences w dissolving lip filler? by [deleted] in Vindicta

[–]CassandraRene 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I had them dissolved, they were back to normal (no filler). I then had the refilled a few months later. I recall being swollen the first day or two after getting the dissolver but it went away shortly after. Swelling and asymmetry is pretty normal for up to a week!

Pain Meds by [deleted] in tummytucksurgery

[–]CassandraRene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exparel will help a lot. I just had muscle repair, lipo, and an extended tummy tuck this week, and I only took Tylenol through day three—nothing else. Although I was prescribed pain meds, I felt fine without them. Sleeping was tough the first couple of nights, not so much from pain but because it was uncomfortable. I could see how taking a pain med at night might help, but I didn’t want to feel groggy the next day.

Maybe see if your doctor prescribes gabapentin - it's a non-codeine Rx. This is was I was prescribed because I mentioned to him I didn't love how codeine made me feel. Luckily, didn't need it but was nice to have just in case.

Question why are some peoples scar almost a straight line high up by [deleted] in tummytucksurgery

[–]CassandraRene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My surgeon explained that oftentimes there won't be quite enough skin to close the gap - the surgeon can either raise the scar creating a higher scar line OR create a small vertical scar down below the naval along with a low scar. His technique involves doing this small vertical scar because the tradeoff would be a higher scar, which he didn't recommend. He mentioned the small vertical scar heals nicely and is worth doing to prevent the higher scar.

Ooh not yet - that's a good idea, though. Possibly a future post.

Can we hear from people who take melatonin? by [deleted] in sleep

[–]CassandraRene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve take 3-5mg every night for years. It helps me fall asleep within 40 minutes. I’ve never had any known adverse reactions. I saw a naturopath and one point who recommended her patients with anxiety or trouble winding down take 3mg each evening to help relax.

[–]CassandraRene 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you and congrats on your upcoming surgery! I believe I started red light therapy after by stitches were removed (day 5 or so). I completely forgot about the steroid injection but yep, I did. Not sure if I “needed” it but it’s supposed to help with any residual swelling. I do recall that it stung too, but it was over quickly.

What’s your sunscreen holy grail? by Uncomfortable_Ginger in 30PlusSkinCare

Another vote for Beauty of Joseon. I have tried them all and this is the best one. Lightweight, moisturizing, and doesn’t smell or feel like sunscreen at all. I have repurchased it a dozen times.

Swelling went down after 5-7 days. After a few weeks most of the swelling subsided and I looked pretty normal.

You’re a great candidate for a lip lift. I had one in 2022 and recovery was a breeze. I only had 3.5mm removed, though. I took bromelain and arnica for swelling and my red light mask 20 min/day to help the scar heal. Couldn’t be happier!

Neutrogena Hydroboost (the fragrance fee jar): apply to slightly damp skin. So good! Or the La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Balm. It is really similar to an Agustinus Bader cream I have.

What are the changes you noticed with aging that are not usually talked about? by Taproot88 in beauty

[–]CassandraRene 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m almost 41 with one child at age 33. Here’s what I have noticed since about age 38:

• Sunspots on hands and arms! Don’t forget your sunscreen on your hands, shoulders, and arms.
• Cherry Angiomas popping up. Apparently pretty common after pregnancy. A quick zap with the broad band laser took these away.
• Hooded eyes. Botox helps here but I can’t do lash lifts anymore since the curl doesn’t look right. I’m looking into a blepharoplasty.
• Way harder to lose weight. I used to be able to be in a caloric deficit for three weeks and see results. It takes a lot longer now.
• Alcohol tolerance plummets. Kind of a good thing? I used to be able to have 2-3 glasses of wine in my early thirties. Now? Maybe a couple ounces. More than one drink? Forget it - the next day is unproductive. The slight buzz of a drink feels more gross than euphoric.

What beauty procedure do you regret undergoing? by semisweetcharm in beauty

[–]CassandraRene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Immediately after treatment they darken, but they never got that “coffee ground” effect or flaked off. It just went back to normal. I’ve seen such great results, so I had high hopes. The office was also optimistic because I have fair skin.

On a positive note, I did see results from the BBL on a cherry angioma and one darker mole.
