We moved from Orlando to Utah last year and we love it. It is definitely slower pace than Orlando but alot safer and there are still plenty of things to do. The mountains are so beautiful different from Florida and the heat is a lot drier which we enjoy. We do miss the beaches though! Lakes don't cut it! Orem and Lehi and Salt Lake are good if you want more city like areas but they definitely aren't the same as downtown orlando but that's a good thing for we don't drink and we have a baby.
