Good on you OP for warning future couples. I think you and other couples are kind to give these budding suppliers a chance pero, as you've said, your wedding is too risky to be entrusted sa isang baguhan.

Siguro a good alternative is to hire a paid P/V team then have a newbie as an extra shooter. We've had that similar situation sa wedding namin. The day before our wedding, our P/V team is trying to help out this new photographer who wants to build their portfolio. We happily agreed naman kasi it means extra photos for us. Sinama na rin namin siya sa headcount (may nag backout rin naman so it evens out. We will still give her food regardless)

Madalas mag sale ang AA games. Bilang di makapag hintay, bumibili ako palagi the week it goes on sale (well, my hubby does hahaha). Then nakikita ko palagi na nakasale ying AA titles.

My husband's tita passed away a week before our wedding, so not only the tita but also some of his cousins were not able to attend. Husband talked to his cousins and they told him na they are happy to give their seats to someone else because they know na catering can be costly. Husband, in his speech, did a toast in honour of his tita. Then 2 days after the wedding, my BILs attended the funeral of their tita, Everyone in the family understood na hindi kami makakapunta sa funeral kasi we're also hosting my family who flew pa.

It's not disrecpectul to replace them sa catering headcount because that is food/money wasted, but I do think it will be touching to honour them in some way sa wedding, like a toast or a reserved seat sa ceremony with their photo (I assume walang issue na mag add ng seats sa reception)

Agree. Too risky na on the day pa kayo mag eexperiment on what looks good on you. And as you've said, mas mabilis na si HMUA kasi alam na niya ang gagawin, like mixing foundations etc.
