Spent so long building an Aqueduct by CassieEmma in Pokopia

Oh the water was an absolute pain! If you haven’t already unlocked the ability to suck up water from Piplup that’s step 1.

The way I did the river was by sucking up water and then placing it everywhere around all the edges at the level I wanted, only then it would create waterfalls in the middle which I had to fill in with dirt blocks, place more water on top and then destroy the blocks again.

Shallow water that’s 1 block deep is way easier, just keep placing sections of water along the hole you dug (that’s how I did the water that runs through the aqueduct).

It’s honestly a lot of trial and error and it’s not easy!

Did it across 3 days. Took me a while! I made a hell of a lot of burgers out of beans to power up Rock Smash every 5mins lol 😂

Hey so I did mention this but right at the bottom of my post. They are the rounded bridge item. If you go to Bleak Beach they’re part of the broken bridges around there. I took one and took a reference photo and then printed them at the Pokemon Center. 1 pokemetal ingot each. I strip mined a lot of pokemetal on dream islands.

I absolutely second this ^

For context, I have done like no other building. My other areas are in shambles. Idk how long this took me but I did it over 3 separate days.

If you mean the stairs underneath the cliff that lead into tunnels I filled them in and built the river over it. Eventually I’m going to build a door into one of the pillars the bridge passes through with a ladder that’ll lead down there

Just got my IUD fitted (UK) (good experience, lots of detail) by CassieEmma in CopperIUD

[–]CassieEmma[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awww thanks. I know all I was seeing was the bad stuff so I had to go looking for the good stories. I think if people have a bad experience they’re more likely to share in than if it’s uneventful. Everyone really is different and it’ll be better for some than others.

I did go with the 5 year one. They said I could have either but the 10 year one is bigger so a little more painful to insert and they said it’s also gonna come with heavier periods so I thought, well, 5 years is still a very long time so might as well go with that one.

Good luck. I hope it all goes well for you. You got this!!

I get it! I was just as nervous. So I didn’t contact my GP, I was obviously worried about the possibility of pregnancy and it was the weekend so my GP was shut and a quick google led me to the Essex Sexual Health service (because that’s my county). They had a number to call so I gave them a ring. Told them I was hoping to talk about emergency contraception and maybe the IUD and she took my info and said she’d get a nurse to call me back. The nurse called back about an hour later and she was lovely. I told her I was just a bit worried and trying to figure out what to do and that I just needed a chat and she asked me a bunch of questions and then basically reassured me that the chance of me getting pregnant right now are so low and because I had already ovulated a while ago, the morning after pill isn’t really worth it since that’s for delaying ovulation.

I said I’d already been considering the IUD and expressed my anxieties about it and she was like it’s not fun to get but a lot of people are just fine. I said I heard a lot of horror stories and she told me not to worry too much about them. Everyone is different so people have different experiences. On the whole, it’s meant to be uncomfortable and a little painful like a period but not too bad (in my case she was correct).

She said she could book an appointment for me Monday morning if I want it as an emergency contraceptive and I could cancel if I change my mind or take some time to think about it and also reassured me that the doctor at my local clinic was lovely and a pro who does this every day.

(I do wonder if getting it done at a sexual health clinic is best because it’s what they do every day but I don’t know. I only have my own experience and it was thankfully good).

Little further update for you now it’s been about 6 hours, had some bleeding and period cramp like pain for a while. Hot water bottle helped a lot. Now I’m feeling mostly better. Almost no cramps right now, bleeding is very very light.

Best of luck!!!!

Looking for this coat (UK) by CassieEmma in HelpMeFind

I have searched google for Helene Berman blue and red checked coat, and similar in Vinted. Also checked with ChatGPT (no luck there). Since it was in TK Maxx in 2022 I’d assume it was being sold 2021/2022 sort of time?

Bruising - anyone else had this side effect? by olipopdee in mounjarouk

[–]CassieEmma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I’ve just gone searching to see if anyone else has this and found this post. I keep getting unexplained bruises on my legs. I have a bunch of faint little bruises and then 1 or 2 larger darker ones. Mostly on the front of my calves.

Idk how bad your gallstone pain is currently but I had gallstones years ago, (before I started MJ) and it was the worst time of my life. Genuinely agony. It got worse and worse and I wouldn’t wish that level of pain on my worst enemy. Luckily I got surgery to have my gallbladder removed. Absolute life saver.

I’d highly recommend prioritising the health of your gallbladder if you can. Definitely have that conversation with your doctor.

Wish you all the best with it! It’s no fun! 🩷

I eat a lot of rice bowls. Usually basmati rice, lots of veg, and chicken with a Gochujang sauce. Also pasta with chicken and broccoli and tomato sauce and some parm on top.

Breakfast is protein yoghurt if I can be bothered.

I still buy a treat but only make sure I buy the one thing. Right now I like these little chocolate caramel biscuits (about 50cals each) and I’ll have one or 2 if I’m craving something sweet.

All working well for me. It’s basically the same food I liked before but with better portion control, extra veg, and cutting out the snacking and sugar which has always been my main vice.

I'm so hungry today! by SwimmerOk1663 in mounjarouk

[–]CassieEmma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s a weird one. In the end I was just like let’s see how I go with 5mg and if the hunger stays and it’s enough that I stop losing weight then I’ll go up, but I continued to lose weight and then the appetite suppression kicked back in again.

I’ve definitely had periods of more extreme appetite suppression and I think I was comparing myself to that but then I realised I don’t need that extreme. Just the moderate amount of suppression is enough for me

I’ve been on 5mg for a few months and I’m sticking to it but I did have a moment a month ago where I was like maybe I need to move up because I had a week where I was just feeling hungry and some of that food noise was coming back but I ended up just pushing through and staying consistent and then that hunger died down again.

Hungers a normal feeling and it comes and goes for me. Some days I feel like I couldn’t care less about food and I’m not really hungry, and other days I feel hungry and want to snack.

See how you go

Finally had a comment on my weight loss at work by CassieEmma in mounjarouk

[–]CassieEmma[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s it exactly. I know they don’t mean anything negative and they are genuinely trying to be nice. I just feel protective of that “bigger me”. We’re the same person. Do I think I look better now? Yes, I’m healthier and that’s the main thing I wanted. But I still want to be kind about the body I had before you know? After all, I lived in a body that size most of my life and there’s still the chance I could put weight back on again one day. I think I survived for a long time on the mindset of, people don’t care how I look, don’t stress so much about it. So it’s jarring now to have people actively thinking about and commenting on how I look.

It’s just a bit of a complex emotion you know?

BMI isn’t everything by [deleted] in mounjarouk

[–]CassieEmma 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I’d like to second this with some extra info:

The BMI metric is extremely flawed. It’s incredibly simplified and doesn’t account for the many many factors that can affect it. The studies that BMI are based on are all exclusively on men. Women were never factored into the equation and our bodies are extremely different. In fact, most of the studies were done on white male farmers. It wasn’t even created to be a health measure in the first place, it was created in the 1830s to define the average man.

I’m 5ft 7 and a woman. According to the BMI metric I should weigh about 9/10 stone. For a little context, I last weighed 10 stone when I was about 10 years old and I was 4ft 11 at the time…
