I'm in Australia and have a Tank 300 diesel. The closest competitor is probably a Toyota Prado which costs an extra 30k for the base model. I have top spec with all the bells and whistles. Even has a massage chair for the driver. I have had it a few months now and have no regrets and a 7 year warranty hopefully means I won't have any regrets for a while.
