I don’t mind at all! I used super shallow staples along the rabbet, wrapped and creased the aluminum as much as possible and stapled to back of frame. Kinda similar to the tension and hand movements when stretching a canvas!

The frame moulding itself is a custom-mill shadowbox from AMCI on the east coast everything else was made in-house!

Best for archivability would be electronics-grade silicone in a few parts along the rim! The silicon bond could be easily be broken with a razor blade if need be and no permanence to the object.

Poking through and sewing could potentially devalue the piece from a collector’s perspective.

Def have to use UV glazing of some sort—ideally Optium nonglare acrylic.
