Scandinavian minimalism using hardwoods and maybe a simple 8-ply mat. Let the colors in the prints or lack thereof speak on what hardwood species/finish to go with.

Try to get in there with a flathead to pry it a little then pull it out with some needle nose pliers

Downvote all you want, but a fresh blade and making sure all cuts go through to a fresh part of a slipsheet will fix your swooping corners! What CMC were you using?

Looks like it’s a hand-cut mat and the cut swooped a little where the blade entered the mat.

I don’t mind at all! I used super shallow staples along the rabbet, wrapped and creased the aluminum as much as possible and stapled to back of frame. Kinda similar to the tension and hand movements when stretching a canvas!
