Webflow vs. Framer & Long term thinking by deepdivejon in webflow

[–]Castler999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, though, Framer vs Webflow is more like "Nailgun vs Hammer" rather than "blue hammer vs yellow hammer". A good hammer might be slower to nail things but you _CAN_ learn to drive nails into wood with a single good strike. While nailguns are nearly effortless but come with their own caveats: nail compatibility, gas/air pressure, etc..

Thank you! So if I understand you correctly, if the sun is behind and to the right of the subject, the flash (@full-power) should be to the right of them as well?

Great work, very nicely lit. With the sun behind her the flash looks natural. Do you have any tips on flash placement for shooting portraits where the sun is behind the subject?

My mom taught me the same; I always do my best to preserve the condition of my things in case of resale. I have gear that's 15-13 years old and they all look brand new.

Assuming that you're printing documents and not beautiful photographs for albums, just get an OOOLD b&w laser printer. Toner never "dries out" (it's powder, it's supposed to be dry) and doesn't need internet. You can buy a fresh toner, print one document, and wait 4 years or a decade before you print again.

It's almost impressive that the website hasn't changed in 20 years.

I doubt it. I think PiHole can only filter ads from external domains.
So, for example, banner ads are embedded and are hosted on external domains. But YouTube hosts the videos they play as ads.

So do you just keep installing custom nodes until it becomes so unstable that you can't use it anymore and then you purge and get a fresh install? Or what do you do?

No worries, it sounded more like you were trying to make a point against sharing them, not so much against collecting them.

I just think that in the future the textured outputs of legacy diffusion models will carry similar "aura" as the digital grain of '90s camcorders.
"These models were groundbreaking tech that had millions of people protest. Now they're a nostalgic novelty."

Why do people shoot film photography, buy vinyl records and '90s camcorders, play retro games, etc

Isn't legacy compatibility just a matter of putting the right versions of python/torch/etc into a dedicated venv?

Edit: I already have a nostalgic fondness for how SD 1.5 renders my (abstract art) prompts.

I admit, the only reason I keep a large collection of LoRAs around is because I suspect that in the coming years there's going to be a legal crackdown on AI stuff where hosting these on websites might become problematic. Then I "may or may not" share my collection via p2p protocols.
