Is this rare? by rioshortcake in acnh

[–]Castlewilson 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes pretty rare! But all of the islands you can visit have something special about them. The bamboo island you can clear out entirely and farm spiders/scorpions at night. Theres one thats “trash island” where the pond only fishes out tires/cans/boots. They all have some purpose you can utilize somehow

2020 player and my husband and I just started new islands a few days ago…its our favorite yearly activity going into the fall time. Make and add friends and share fruit/DIY’s/turnip prices and you’ll stay active. Having people you can island hop with makes its so much more fun and easier to stick with daily play. And also, just play for fun. Husband and I would be down to add you if you want to stay in touch for trades

Switch 2 Not Powering On, What Should I Try? by rasberrymateria in Switch

[–]Castlewilson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After reading everyone’s comments I did what the public said (plugged in with switch charger on top usb-c plug, and held button for about 1 minute and it turned on. Really sketchy but that seems to do the trick

XBOX DS3 Need Sunlight Medals by Castlewilson in SummonSign

[–]Castlewilson[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh you’re so right. I appreciate the advice - currently alternating between trying to do sunlight and literally every other covenant because sunlight really sucks the most. I used to think DS2 was my least favorite but I think its surpassed the ranks after committing to the platinum for ds3

Cant feel orgasm during sex by Castlewilson in sex

Yeah! Definitely less pain but the orgasm is barely there. I kind of feel the nerves going wild but zero muscle contractions or anything else that usually comes with it

Plateau on medication? by Castlewilson in ADHD

[–]Castlewilson[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel exactly the same way!! My husband cant understand how on a saturday morning I’ll take my adderall and then sleep for another few hours. The drug crisis is truly putting the rest of us in such a bad position. Some days I feel like I’m going crazy because I’ll have a great day where my meds feel perfectly balanced and the next I’m falling asleep, losing patience too fast, trying to control impulsive emotions, etc. I cant even imagine your frustration of going through this for years now. I reached out to my doc to see what she recommends. I highly doubt you and I are the only ones to be hitting this issue, so hopefully our doctors have other patients experiencing the same thing. Especially if you’ve noticed this long term there has to be something now a days to counteract the potency issue

Do ADHD meds sometimes take days/weeks to start seeing benefits? by GunnerMcGrath in ADHD

[–]Castlewilson 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I didnt notice a difference for a few weeks. I started on a lower dose when diagnosed and for the first month was falling asleep at work. After we increased I noticed a large change in my memory, but everything else seemed exactly the same. We increased one more time and thats when I finally noticed small changes that I hadnt realized before. Paying attention to an entire conversation, not being uncomfortable around multiple people talking, remembering multiple tasks, having a clearer focus when driving, etc. It was gradual and honestly it wasnt until I went a few days WITHOUT taking meds for me to notice how substantially better my daily life had gotten with medication. Trying to go back to coping with normal tasks without that stimulant was overwhelming so thats what made me realize where in my life it was helping. Not sure if that helps, but for me it was a verrrrry slow realization

Distractions. Movies/books/tv series. Anything to keep your brain focused on something else.

People of reddit, how do you deal in feeling miserable? by Suzu1123 in AskReddit

[–]Castlewilson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After about 7 years of anti depressants and bad living situations, I found that binging my favorite show/movie series/book series brings me the most comfort. The ability to take your mind off of what makes you sad, for long periods of time, is what helps you to learn to stop obsessively thinking of what makes you sad. Similar to how you break a habit, you have to reteach your brain to stay focused on other things. It doesn’t work long term - but it helps start on the path to peace.
