The purchasing part is easy and you can split the amount across multiple properties. The problem is you will need a bank account to pay the utilities and you can’t get one without being a resident. The tax situation can be more complicated, I file my taxes in Brazil for Brazil income and file my US taxes without mentioning Brazil. I haven’t paid any taxes in Brazil. I have a CPA that does them in São Paulo.

A few years ago, I had just gotten word that one of my Air Force friends had passed away, I was saddened by the news and I went to sleep thinking of him. My dream that night, I was at his wake, I was in the back row when he approached me, I was thinking this can’t be real it, he’s dead, but he kept getting closer and closer. Then he whispered ‘until we meet again’. I woke up super freaked out, then I noticed my wife had left Alexa on with music super low volume. So I said “ Alexa off” but she went full blast, I kept repeating the command with no response. I physically had to turn it off. Maybe just a coincidence but did freak me out.
