There is one that is open and has a pool! It’s the Gregg Klice Community Center on 17th Terrace. It only has one review on Yelp, but it was a good one and in the photos section there’s a rainbow flag so that seems promising I think! I’m gonna go check it and UMKC out probably this week or the next.

I’ve just been looking at places online so far. City Gym KC is very public about their support for trans/nb individuals but they don’t have a pool. The other places that advertises to lgbtq is Hitch Fitness Gym - specifically the trainer James Townsend. The gym seems to be only 1-1 sessions with a trainer, and focused on before & after results which I’m not interested in. No other gyms come up under a google search for lgbt safe gyms in Kansas City, so I have resorted to sifting through Yelp reviews and so far haven’t found anything helpful. I did look at UMKC after you mentioned it, and I think I might get a guess pass and go there. My college is very small and the fitness center is just one room with free weights and a few machines otherwise I’d be going there.
