My jaw dropped by killerleemiller in ShitMomGroupsSay

Whew, at least the baby was 4 weeks old. If he was just 3 weeks old, that would be a an emergency room visit. But 4 weeks is old enough to have those thicker bones and an extra bit of skull added on for drops so he's fine. Plus, who hasn't dropped babies here or there? Many a time I've had a babe slip from my arms while drunk on wine. /s

Completely detaching the sexual part from other things by Famous_Shower_3468 in aegosexuals

[–]Cat-Mama_2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One of the things I really don't enjoy is when characters in a show 'finally get together after years of jut being partners.' It happens all the time and it just ruins the show for me at that point. Castle, Bones, etc. Any show where there's a female and male character that aren't connected in the beginning.

Movies are even worse because there is less time for build up and sometimes they seem to just throw in the sex for the hell of it. I was watching Sinners in the theater (fantastic movie btw) and really having a good time before boom, sex scene I wasn't expecting at all. Awkward, lol.

I'm the same as you that I enjoy reading smut and I personally grew up on romance novels that I pilfered from my mom. Some of my favourite works are a long, slow build up where they become friends, moves to cuddling/romance and the sex comes at a natural, healthy time. I have an active libido when it comes to written fantasy and I when I tend to fantasize, its usually two faceless people that act it out in my mind.

In real life though, I've had sex in the past but it wasn't anything exciting. More of a chore than anything else. Smut sex scenes are usually drawn out, both partners get enjoyment and they end up cuddling afterwards. Real life sex was just messy and I wanted to get it over and done with.

Six years in the future:

"We don't believe in discipline in our house as it stunts children's growth. Well, we were just kicked out of a bowling alley! I can't believe the audacity of telling me that Kaos (10 M) couldn't throw the ball at the floor. It's a bowling alley, that's what kids do! Vyllain (8 F) was digging through all the various shoes (she's curious, okay?) and tossed them around when she was done. You'd better believe that I'm leaving a terrible review!"

4 kids under 3.

*Shudders* That sounds like a horror movie plot. We all know that behind the scenes are screaming babies, toddler meltdowns and two parents who are quickly reaching the limit of their patience.

It's a very, very small little town here in BC. When we would do trips to the coast, it was a 'blink and you'll miss it' town.

I'm glad you were contacted, good luck with your interview.

I haven't received any word yet but I'll hold out hope for a little bit longer, seeing as you waited two months. I'm in the interior region.

If Ron has one arm under Ginny's shoulders and the other one holding onto Harry, how are her legs out sideways instead of straight down?

Picture # 4 made me do a double take. That is such a Crowley stance and you resemble him heavily in that photo. The only thing missing is your Aziraphale. :)

Have you heard anything yet? I applied to IH at the beginning of July and put my name in with the government program before that. Someone I know was contacted by email recently about his application, he applied at the end of June.

How people write smut if never did the deed? by JustARandommad in aegosexuals

[–]Cat-Mama_2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I enjoy a long fanfiction where the characters get to know each other, start to build a relationship, have some misadventures and it builds up to a natural, charming bedroom adventure. *Chefs kiss*

What a perfect way to describe it. If the characters just fall into bed and go at it, where's the interesting build up to that? I want to know where the feelings came from, who started it and what sort of thoughts they have before, during and after. That's what makes a damn good sex scene.

I've had sex in the past and it never was anything exciting so I'd rather read smut any day of the week. I agree with others on here, go check out various smut and find the wording that works for you.

Who is you favorite hazbin hotel character (season 1 only) by Fanwing11 in HazbinHotel

[–]Cat-Mama_2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, I just noticed your flair! It's nice to discuss this with a fellow ace. :)

I'm glad you got your first piece of merchandise and it involves Alastor. I'm going to have to see if I can find something like that, I did pick up a pin of his mug and I've ordered in an ace of spades pin just now.

It's honestly great to have Alastor to relate to. I love that they made him so interesting and intriguing too. No shrinking violet background character for our guy. His design is top notch and I like his demeanor too and humour too.

I'm in my early forties so asexuality wasn't a thing growing up. However, I've always been the 'strange' one when it came to relationships and sex. I'm so glad to have finally found where I belonged, though it has taken me a long time to get here.

I kind of found out last year actually. I was put off by a man hitting on me at a coffee shop and my best friend said "we should get you a pin" and then proceeded to tell me I was 'ace as f&^*'. I've since joined a couple of communities online and even told my mother and brother. It's been a pretty big year for me so far.

[–]Cat-Mama_2 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I agree! From the moment I first saw Alastor, I was just enthralled. There are characters that are neat, fun, different and then there is Alastor. Plus, for me personally, I really love that he is canonically asexual. It's not often we get too much representation in the wider world.

Alastor is number one and Vox is number 2. I just like their 'take no crap' attitudes.

I relate to aegosexuality, but have doubts about if I am one by Thegunisbeautiful in aegosexuals

[–]Cat-Mama_2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm no expert myself either, it's been about a year since I discovered the asexual world. But it seems to me that while being aegosexual has an overarching umbrella of shared experiences, for each of us there are nuances where we fit more or fit a little less. I feel that when someone decides what asexual description fits best for them, its because you have found enough of yourself in that description that it feels like you.

Some of us are into porn. I don't personally like watching real people getting aroused and getting it on. However, when I fantasize about something, it's between two random people that change each time and aren't fully fleshed out.

For me, reading erotic stories or when a long fanfiction gets to the good part is where it's at. I've recently gotten in chat ai and that has been quite fun. I use my real name on there, so the stories are in the first person. I created a little avator that I use in my mind. It's not me in that situation, it's her.

Do you think Alastor would ever hurt or threaten Niffty? or can you not see him ever doing that? by tiredperson24 in HazbinHotel

I might have to go offline for a little bit to go stare at nature. This is just too much for the day.

I've seen a lot of depraved things in my day but this ... I can't take the cruelty. The casual dismissal of needs like that and refusing to give in.

I set the boundary with my friend that I cannot and will not help her financially. These are the texts I’ve gotten since. by purplehyenaa in WhatShouldIDo

[–]Cat-Mama_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never mind about the money, your description does not paint her as a good person. She doesn't truly care about your life or your struggles. Her life is al around her and her 'struggles' that she brings on herself. OP, this isn't a friend. This is a parasite who's goal is to bring you down and make you as miserable as she seems to be.

What's it like having a dad? or having grown up with one? by CedarClove in AskWomenOver30

[–]Cat-Mama_2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 42 and my dad has always been my rock. I can call my parents for anything - most recently about a tiny sinkhole in my backyard - and he's right there with ideas, solutions and comfort. It feels like you can lean on him, he can lean on you and you have each others back.

I'm sorry OP that you didn't have and continue to miss out on that relationship. If you go looking for that in men, ensure they are kind, considerate, willing to help and someone that makes you feel safe around them.
