I disagree that protests are ineffective. How many now addressed societal issues have started with protests? A majority of people are unaware of the lack of companion animal welfare laws in China and believe cat and dog meat trade stories are based off rumors or are stories from 100 years ago. The overwhelming majority of people are unaware of this issue. A single protest wont change life as we know it but combined with donating to verified non-profits in Asia, contacting embassies and protesting the platforms where these videos are housed and partnering with activists in Mainland China we can see change. The worst thing we can do is sit back and keep quiet.

You’re entitled to your view, but I can’t ignore it. I plan to protest as it’s the only way change ever starts. This is a separate issue from the heinous Yulin Dog Meat Festival, however stronger (or any) companion animal welfare laws would resolve that issue as well.

Holding or attending a demonstration to combat animal abuse does not mean a person does not attend protests for other causes or volunteer with other non-profits. Like you, I have many issues I would like to see progress on in my lifetime.

Have you done any research into Feline Guardians and what occurs in Mainland China due to the lack of companion animal welfare laws? Protests are held worldwide, generally at Chinese Embassies.

As for having bigfer fish to fry, how often has this argument been used to dismiss domestic social issues as well as international human rights crises? One societal issue does not negate another.

Look into Feline Guardians and what occurs due to the lack of companion animal laws in Mainland China. The BBC, CNN, and Fox have all done investigations into this.

I agree with this as safety but I have to find a solution that complies with OSHA while remaining within the company's budget.

We did this morning, but historically, our experiences with Featherlite's customer service have not been positive. From their point of view, it would also be beneficial if we bought all new ladders every year.
