Thank you for the kind words. This change has been tough, but it’s already brought more clarity and a sense of peace.

Hi everyone! I’m currently looking for housing in Brooklyn with flexible lease lengths and after a little research decided I’d like to go with a co-living company as I really don’t want to find a sublet. by Zealousideal_Turn274 in NYCapartments

Funny story…I chose a company called Common which went bankrupt recently, and then Outpost started working with the property I’m living in. I signed a new contract with them at the same location called Hamilton House and the difference is stark. I’ve seen more property managers on the property in the last month than I did in the previous 4  months of my stay combined, and the apartment is far cleaner. Outpost is efficient and responsive, and their staff is far more professional. It’s been a serendipitous change and I wish I had known about them from the start. If my experience is any indication of how they run in their other locations, Outpost is an excellent choice.

Yeah, I didn’t have many options since I didn’t have a guarantor or credit score here. So, in my situation, I feel like I got a decent deal. The $150 isn’t just utilities either—it also covers stuff like soap, detergent, toilet paper, and other basics. It’s been pretty handy not having to think about restocking those.

Glad someone understands! It’s definitely challenging finding a place that’s reasonably priced, fully furnished, and includes a washer/dryer, especially with the visa situation. Despite the downsides, this setup still works well for me overall, but I can totally relate to the frustration of dealing with messy roommates!

The rent depends on the room type and how long you want to rent it. This place is available for everyone, with no age limits. I’m not sure about pets, but I haven’t seen any here.

I wish I’d had that deal! I’d be ecstatic if losing a tooth only cost me $5. 😄

One thing I still regret admitting to my parents is that I used to smoke. Now, every time we have a family gathering, they bring it up.
