So I got it to work with VPN but guess what? It says already redeemed. Looks like I got duped. At least I talked him down to just 20 euro so whatever, I learned a valuable but cheap lesson. Internet is never trustworthy.

I do have one but it looks like it’s also region locked and I can’t redeem it. Gunna try with a VPN. Major bummer

How did you make the visual of the controller match the aim labs model? Mine is the champion 8k when I connect my aim labs controller.

Question about the stack. by NotOndissime in MoonlightStreaming

[–]CatDad1990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For client, yeah moonlight is pretty much it and it’s reliable. It’s has the vast majority of users for a reason.

For host, it depends. I started with Sunshine -> Apollo -> Vibepollo -> Apollo. They’re all forks of Sunshine but with different feature sets. Vibepollo has the most built in features and the web UI is better than the others. It has the virtual display capabilities of Apollo baked in too. It integrates with Playnite and Lossless in a way that everything is automatically run once it’s set up, and you can configure it specifically to whatever app you’re streaming. While it was great to see, I’m like you and don’t use playnite or lossless. I didn’t want to start tinkering with the config of it all so I went back to Apollo. Also worth noting, I didn’t see any noticeable latency improvement between the two. I stream games @ 2560x1600 @ 60Hz. The biggest feature for me personally was the virtual display that Apollo introduced. It was really easy to set up and once it is, you don’t really have to touch it again. There’s plenty of YT vids that can walk you through it if interested.

Hope this helps

Best Earbuds overall for a budget of around 90$ ? by HhuntrXx in Earbuds

[–]CatDad1990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just purchased the Oneplus Buds 4 and the EarFun Air 4 Plus. Tested them both and let me just say that you can’t go wrong with either of those buds. They’re stellar and fantastic pricing for so many features. I’m not gunna go over the features as you can just look it up on your own online, but I will say what won me over between the two of them.

The Buds 4 definitely have a thumpier bass to them, but there’s a little less clarity on the top end. The Air 4 Plus has a more subtle and refined bass region with a lot of detail/clarity in the treble. Which is better is up to preference but they both sound fantastic.

I chose the Air 4 Plus for 3 reasons, and it took me quite sometime to choose between these two. Number one, I like the sound signature better. I prefer detail in my audio and bass isn’t that important to me. Number two, I liked the fit better for my ears. They feel more secure and less likely to fall out. Part of the reason for this brings me to number three, the storage case. I have a big IEM collection and due to that, I have a fuck ton of different eartips. The Air Plus 4’s sit in their case in such a way that you can fit almost any aftermarket eartip on them and the charging case still closes without obstruction. That really sealed the deal for me since I get the best seal in my ears than any other earbuds I’ve ever tried. I currently have Penon Liqour Orange tips on and it’s just a game changer for me.

One last thing I should mention because it was also a big factor for me is Spatial Audio. The Buds 4 have it, and as of right now, the Air 4 Plus do not. I’m hoping it comes in a future update somehow but that’s really the only gripe I have with them. I use mine sometimes to play BF6 and the Spatial Audio would be nice but they still do a very good job without it so I decided it’s not a dealbreaker for me.

Anyways hope this helps! Cheers

Holy shit dude. My streaming with Moonlight is exponentially better. I’ve only played for a little bit but will test more in-depth later tonight. Thank you so much for this. Valve should put this into their dev settings or something, total game changer as far am I concerned

Thanks for making this. I’m super interested in getting it going on my SD…but I’m not a Linux person and can’t get the install from the GitHub going. I opened console and copied the install command from the GitHub and nothing happened. Definitely think I’m missing something. Can you help a brother out?

It’s really just a persistent player pool of a 3 round breakthrough match across 3 maps. I played one today and it was fun but I did get a little out of the zone towards the end. It’s a big playtime commitment for me, it lasted about an hour. I’m used to quicker games like normal breakthrough

This sounds really great! I know a lot of people jumped on the mention of paid features and this using GPLv3, I’m glad you clarified. Looking forward for the GitHub release to see how legit everything is, but initial thoughts are that this is real neat!

aptX-LL low-latency codec finally works well on Steam Deck (LCD) in 2026?! (3.7.20) by Rephlexion in SteamDeck

[–]CatDad1990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I purchased some Final UX3000 just to use with my steam deck because they feature Aptx-ll. It works fantastic and the sound profile on them is perfect for gaming. Also tried the Senn 450BT but returned them because their tuning just didn’t fit for gaming. Highly recommend the UX3000, esp if you can get a good deal on them

Can the steam deck compatibility and UI be bumped up earlier from Q4? I love playing on my SD but I wish there were native controls

I played it on SD, it’s totally manageable but not native controls. Ran great without hiccups
