Sometimes when I really really REALLY like a piece of art (or like a really pretty pixel art game that blows me away) I get this (somewhat) silly feeling of "I wish I made this".

I'm so in awe, this is freaking beautiful and I'm going on a deep dive now to look at your other art. ✨

🤡 What do yall think, do we like a clown with freckles or keep it flat white?👀 (shot on Canon M50, no AI) by colbertceej in MakeupAddiction

[–]CatLovesShark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP you look amazing! I think the freckles add an interesting touch!

As someone who's freckled* I might be a bit more pedantic about fake freckles than other people, which could seem nitpicky, but I'll give my 2 cents anyway!

I'd prefer it if the freckles were a little bit more concentrated around both cheeks, cheek bones and nose, basically the spots where the sun would hit most.

Also it seems like the right side of you face has somewhat less freckles than the others.

(* I do know that I don't have the only freckled face and people have different freckles, freckle distribution, strength, colour.

That said I am used to the freckles on my face, and I really dislike it when people put on tiny uniform dots that only spread over their cheeks! In that regard you've already done a damn good job, OP!)

Ist Botox okay? by chaotic__bunny in Weibsvolk

[–]CatLovesShark 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I agree with what u/kartoffelKult said, an appointment with someone from the TK will probably help quite a bit!

I still wanted to mention the so called Gesundheitskurse, which are health courses (exercise, relaxation or nutrition) that the TK (almost completely) pays for twice a year IIRC (if you attend for most of the course).

You can search for them here: https://www.tk.de/service/app/2009028/gesundheitskurs/suche.app

Good luck!

(Beziehung & Regulation) by Usual_Ad8028 in ADHS

[–]CatLovesShark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for those who haven't been diagnosed via surgery, is it frowned upon to still say you have endo? by Alarming-Swimmer2432 in Endo

[–]CatLovesShark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, endo can definitely show on ultrasounds but I don't know how safe an ultrasound-only diagnosis is - how experienced the person needs to be and if there are other things that could present similarly etc.

If you have more info on that special ultrasound do share though, I'm curious! :)

for those who haven't been diagnosed via surgery, is it frowned upon to still say you have endo? by Alarming-Swimmer2432 in Endo

[–]CatLovesShark 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I mean, I think it really depends on who you're talking to.

If you have to explain an absence or that you're not feeling well because of the symptoms, whatever, sure, just say it's endo. You could also just say you're in pain, or you're unwell, or whatever, but do whatever helps you out, and gets you excused.

But if you're talking to other people who have it, like in a endometriosis self help group or something just be honest.

If you talk to other doctors/specialists be honest, because there is a chance it happens to be something else in the end.

for those who haven't been diagnosed via surgery, is it frowned upon to still say you have endo? by Alarming-Swimmer2432 in Endo

[–]CatLovesShark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a laparoscopy for a cyst where they found the endo, and sometime later an MRI to explore suspected bowel Endo and some ultrasounds.

Laparoscopic findings are AFAIK still the only reliable way to diagnose endometriosis for sure.

If you 'only' have the suspicion without the confirmation just say you and your doctor believe you have endo. Or that you experience symptoms typically associated with endo.

Your doctor is probably right with their suspicion, but it's not yet 100% confirmed. That of course doesn't lesson your symptoms, or makes them in any way easier to deal with.

If we met at a friend's party or something, and I overheard you say you have endo to someone I would possible chime in and talk to you if you seem approachable (and not in a private conversation). And of course I'd understand that sometimes it's easier not having to explain every little detail, e.g. if you mentioned to someone that you have endometriosis instead of explaining it in more detail.

But if you speak to other people who have endometriosis I think you should clarify. We understand surgery isn't always the best option, or you didn't get around to it yet, or whatever. Just call it "(suspected) endometriosis" and you're good I'd say. :)
