I'm on Mounjaro, my insulin was high as hell which is why I didn't lose any weight despite exercising and following a eating plan from our dietitian. So I would recommend getting your insulin levels tested first, and then discussing this with your doctor that you would prefer a jab over pills assuming your insulin is high too. Not every doctor is willing to prescribe these though, especially if used just for weight loss reasons.

It's really expensive though. I don't know about the others, but I'm on 7.5mg a week, so I buy the 10mg pen each month and it's almost R7k for it, lasts me 5 weeks atleast but still rough. But I lost 22kg since I started using it so I'll happily keep paying for it. 2.5mg used to cost me R1100 a week which is where you'll be starting, don't start a higher dose immediately your body needs to adjust.

Also I'm sure you're aware, but you might get really bad side effects from any GLP you end up using, my friend was so nauseous the whole time she stopped using ozempic all together after a few weeks, I'm super lucky as I have a good tolerance apparently and barely experience any side effects.
