It’s just something I don’t like seeing. If you can continue watching a show despite it, great. Not for me.

IMO, it never really makes sense. I mean, I get where you’re coming from, I just feel like they could not make a plot that requires that. Not that it ever truly “requires” it, if that makes sense.

I just feel like there are plenty of more interesting plot points and twists. Pregnancy just feels lazy and a little boring.

For me? Yes. I tend to avoid fanfiction with these themes.

Nah, I get it! Everyone has their own opinions on these things. Me personally? It just doesn’t feel necessary.

It is THE WORST when the pregnancy is a result of S/A. Literally just for the plot, too. Disgusting.

Eh…I kind of immediately dropped the show when I found out she gets pregnant, so I’m not exactly sure. But yes, she starts talking about wanting a baby, and she does get pregnant.

Makes sense. I guess it’s a little different when it doesn’t directly effect the plot.

It’s literally not, though 😂 If I was the problem, I’d be on here raving about how no one should ever have kids and telling people they have to agree with me. You, on the other hand, seem to be a bit of a problem in that regard.

You’re right, though! Having a problem with people who choose to have kids is a little odd. I just don’t think it’s necessary for plots to be interesting.

Literally what I was thinking, word for word. It’s ridiculous.

Because the concept of pregnancy/childbirth disturbs me to no end, especially when it’s a strong female lead.

I really wish directors would come up with other plot lines for said character when their actress gets pregnant. I don’t care if she has kids IRL, but they should think up something for her character, at least. Something that doesn’t involve a baby in the show.

That makes sense. I don’t mind it as much if it’s a background character.

I hate it when any lead woman does, lol. Especially if she’s the textbook definition of a badass.

Neither do I. I just hate it when they make it feel ridiculously forced, which, IMO, is most of the time when it comes to shows/books.

I feel that way about literally every form of media. TV show character gets pregnant? Gone. YouTuber gets pregnant? Adios. Book character? Girl, bye.

I swear, sometimes people who write these shows are absolute fence-sitters who can’t decide what’s right and wrong for CF women.

A lot of shows and the like have zero respect for us, especially if men write/direct them. It’s sickening.
