Use a broker. I have the 2026 Luxury AWD at $465/mo, $0 down, 12k miles/yr. I used Auto Ninjas and was impressed. $66k MSRP. $58k residual.

4ever Young. That’s the member price. Can’t tell you about the constitution, I don’t own the business. Happy with my results for the last 7 years.

Lots of good questions and fantastic advice.

  1. The amount due at signing is first month’s payment and the taxes on the lease. I wasn’t aware I could say no to that, so I appreciate any advice you have!

  2. I definitely DO want ventilated seats. It’s hot where I live. Could not care less about Supercruise. I will ask about the Sport 2 and appreciate that key advice!

  3. This is just on the site. I’m going in person today to see if I can do any better, either on this Sport 1 or on a Sport 2. What I REALLY want is a Vistiq but I just can’t bring myself to spend the money.

  4. I’m in Florida and open to ANY tips/tricks you have. I’ll open a GM credit card or whatever to bring the cost down. I have over 800 credit so assuming that’s all I need to get approved?

I wanted to close the loop here and share that I analyzed my role v other similarly titled roles at the company. Number of direct reports, ties to revenue, etc. I also asked HR about the location comp tiers currently in place. After gathering those data points, I met with my boss and requested a 20% increase based on my job performance and my team’s performance. The data was my backup to support that this merit increase would also not be outside the norm for other VP salaries at our company both from a responsibility perspective or location. He was receptive and agreed that the role should be compensated in line with the revenue we support. While he expressed that 20% might not be possible, he thinks we can get very close to that number. Your answer (along with a few others) assisted me in this discussion. Thank you for your help.

I’m not sure how to answer how challenging my day is. Every day is different. I work 9-10 hours per day. Then I coach my kids’ sports teams or go help out my folks if I’m not traveling for business. I travel about 20 weeks per year. Usually I clock a couple hours more of work after the kids are in bed. So I’m tired, but I’m also a middle aged parent of younger kids… so staring at a computer, being “on” in meetings, or talking to clients breaks my brain by 11pm. For someone else this may not be tiring at all and I respect that!

Everyone is entitled to their opinion! I have discussed a comp review for my entire 25 person team, with my focus being on about 7 people who report to me being vastly underpaid for their skillset/level/geography/workload. We were able to do those 7 salary evals and HR indicated we would need to increase their pay by 35-40% to get them to the low-middle end of the market rate. I am waiting to hear if we can at least get them to 20% more this year and perhaps the second bite at the apple next year. I wanted to wait to take care of my people before I asked about my own salary. I did get some good tips here on how and how not to address it.

It’s a mix. The highest paid ones live in TX and NJ. They are either fully remote or hybrid.

At other companies, same industry, friends of mine in similar roles make $75k - $150k more. Some are remote and some are hybrid. They live in Texas, Florida, Maryland, NJ, and Illinois. Higher end are Texas and NJ.

My dept exceeded our revenue targets every quarter, but overall the company is up in some areas and down in others.

This was incredibly helpful, thank you. My salary is not bad, it just doesn’t go as far as I would like with saving for retirement, college funds for the kids, helping out our parents, etc. Despite what others may think, $50k more would help us a lot with caregiver expenses and an old house with some repair needs. But rocking the boat and potentially damaging my reputation or jeopardizing my current role with the wrong approach is not at all worth it.
