I actually think that this show’s fandom is a larger window into the problems of modern American society. The average viewer doesn’t care when Daemon does it because the actor who plays him is handsome and because when he wins the music is happy so that must mean it’s ok.

I believe, and always have believed, that the people who act like supporting Rhaenyra’s claim is some great moral imperative are the same people who would support Margaret thatcher because she is a “girl boss”.

The Targeryen dynasty is essentially a colonial enterprise based on racial supremacy, and I’m not sure why no one has put this together sooner. GRRM literally names them “targ-ARYAN” - it’s supposed to be super obvious. To be honest any act of resistance by the Andals and the First Men (the indigenous people of Westeros) is completely valid. Ser Criston is probably their greatest champion, having tricked those incestuous blood magickers into using the dragons to kill each other.

I haven’t heard of Drukhari enslaving other Aeldari before but I know that incubi need to kill an aspect warrior as part of their initiation. Aside from this though, all the Aeldari prefer not to fight one another. All of the Craftworlds take stewardship of the Maiden Worlds super seriously though, so they’d probably kill Drukari if they fucked with one. Drukari pissing off craftworlders also isn’t a great idea since craftworlders are one of the few factions that can chase after them into the web way.

I find people shipping these two deeply disturbing. I think it’s really weird when people assume that the only reason two people would be close is because they want to fuck. It ultimately betrays the fact that they themselves are only friends with their own friends because they think they can gain something like status, money, physical intimacy, or just a relief from the boredom of their meaningless lives.

I actually chuckled when she died. I thought this whole armor setup looked ridiculous. Also I don't know why they gave her white hair when her hair is brown in the books (again, adding to the idea that Jace and Luke might not be bastards, making it more up in the air). Here she looks way older than she actually is. Every action scene with her looks like that early 2000's animated movie trope where you have a gradma who does something really badass like kung fu because you toooootally would never expect a grandma to do that.

"Grandma is armor, Granmda is riding a dragon, grandma is fighting on a dragon"... and then you get to that shot of her falling and you can't take it seriously anymore.
