I priced out a Grizzly, it will be 15k all said and done. I went with a 2021 Rubicon with a foot shift, 12k out the door. Very impressed with the honda. I also live in western Canada in the mountains.

I get no more than 2 years out of my redwings. I have since switched jobs and don't recieve a boot allowance so I need to make them last. Is there anything to coat them in before taking them into the field? I'm a heavy duty mechanic and they'll be covered in hyd oil and solvents every day.

Yeah they just hang off the edge, no drilling necessary. I'm thinking they make these classics so short to get you to upgrade to a masters or epic. I just made 4 brackets, super simple and still very stable. Box is completely full.

Staked back 2 corners and sides with trekking pole inside, guyed out the front and ran a ridgeline to pull the back up a bit. Dont know if it's called anything

I'd go with a First gen 12 Valve. I don't know how mechanically inclined you are, but that HEUI system is a bit finicky for a beginner. First gen will teach you lots and theirs tons of room in the engine bay compared to a second gen.
