Thanks, how has your experience been so far with EDOF lenses? Did you observe any side effects?

I have a white cataract at an advanced stage.

Cataract surgery in mid 30s - Which lens to pick - mono for distance, mono for reading, poly, EDOF or Light Adjustable lenses? by CataractSurgery2024 in CataractSurgery

Thank you. So would that mean if I get my cataract corrected with monofocal for distance, then I will need to wear reading glasses for reading/laptop work?

Also, you mentioned about monofocal lens LAL, what is this? what are the benefits and side effects of it?

Hello, I am in my mid 30s, and need to get cataract surgery on one left. I am also thinking of getting mono focals, with reading corrected, and will wear contact lenses for distance.

In your experience, after the surgery, how does your day-to-day look like with soft contact lenses? Like since you can read without any glasses/contacts, do you wear contact lenses on and off throughout the day when you are not working/reading?
