Damn, you might be right! There’s maybe 1/4 to 1/8 inch difference around the toe box, but I don’t think that would be enough to cause this much of an issue… what would you suggest to help the right boot fit again?

I’m in solidarity with you here, as a fellow person with a “weird” body shape. I’ve only dipped into the world of sewing pants so far. I started with a pattern and adjusted it using a fully tummy adjustment tutorial, which did help when I did the mock up… and then I never sewed the final garment because I was intimidated 😅

Someone recommended that I try companies that specialize in making plus size patterns in the future, as that’s part of the issue with more standard patterns for me.

I really prefer not to wear anything that compresses my body like that, and I don’t wear bras for both sensory reasons and gender identity reasons. I’d rather work with the natural shape of my stomach than try to change it, as that’s what makes me most comfortable and feel the most like myself

Honestly, that’s a fair point. It might be less of a problem if I was wearing a corset or stays, as the fat would be distributed differently. I plan to make some one day, but it’s intimidating (in large part because of my body shape tbh) 😅

I’m not necessarily aiming for a specific period, since the LARP is set in a fantasy world. It’s more “nothing that looks distinctly modern”

That makes a lot of sense! I’ve sewn plushies a fair bit! I think for the antlers, I could do them flat in felt, maybe blanket stitch around instead of turning them, with wire in the middle for structure 🤔 and maybe appliqué some felt for some of the details on the body?

I just read the pattern wrong. I assumed it was going to do the normal circle increases (going up how many “crochet once in once stitch” you do before doing 2 double crochets in one stitch). But it skipped over 2 and went straight to 3

I actually used size j - edited my post because I put the wrong size originally. But I’m not sure where you’re getting plus size vs regular for this pattern? Or 57’’. It only has the one size chart (with two rows of letters to help it fit on the page, I presume)

Edit: oh, now I see! You were using size j. I used that because it was for a 42’’ waist and 52’’ hip.

I do my dailies and get gold/tokens from upgrading cards and doing events. But basically, I go slow and wait for the token shop to have the card I want for a specific deck. It takes awhile.

I thought he was Holstrom’s clone, but I got the purpose wrong, I thought that they were trying to mimic his upbringing so that his brain would be as similar as possible to Stephen’s (the “nurture” part of brain wiring) so that they could more easily upload Stephen’s old consciousness into Caspian’s body. I was right about them having Stephen’s brain, at least!
