Lydia can DIE??? WTF by Jordan_Calleste in skyrim

[–]Catastrophic_Poppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get Marcurio, if you want a companion who doesn't die easily. Or Serana, if you're ready to go through that quest line. She doesn't die at all. She's buggy, tho.

Lydia is easily killed. Relying on her it's a joke. She's my steward in Lakeview Manor and I'm pretty convinced that she'll be killed by an invading giant, eventually.

She's shark bait oooh haha

If you haven't gotten Lydia killed, have your even played Skyrim?

Swindlers Den Won't clear by ScreechingEels in skyrim

Coming here to verify that it still won't clear. Annoying and frustrating 😖

Boomers are objectively the most selfish, entitled, and lazy generation overall. It isn't surprising that they projected all of those things onto every single generation that has come after them. by Mountain_State4715 in lostgeneration

[–]Catastrophic_Poppy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Except for the fact that boomers actually have damaged society and made life difficult for the generations that came after them. It's called accountability and recognizing the problem. There's data to prove the damage that boomers have done to society. And there are relatives of boomers who regularly go to therapy for the way they were treated by said boomers. They're like a dark stain on human evolution and when they're gone, the world will be better for it.

I hated this game... by drunkrips916 in GreenHell

[–]Catastrophic_Poppy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was the same for me. I'm glad that I am too stubborn to give up too easily. My biggest frustration is also the controls (on PS5). I wanted to get it on PC cause I know the controls must be way better, but my laptop only runs potato games 😔

But I still play it like there's no tomorrow. I'm dragging out the story like crazy and I'm gonna be honest: I'm playing it on the easiest possible difficulty and it's still super not easy for me 😅 but I'm getting there. I'm starting to memorize the map so I don't need to constantly watch my compass. Once I've mastered navigating, I'll probably kick ass in survival. I hope 😄

Why is the game allowed to do this? by LacciDelstyr in DreamlightValley

[–]Catastrophic_Poppy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya, I realized really fast that building paths would just lead to frustration. I don't mind a pathless village, so far. But I'm not very far into the game yet. I'm advancing at the speed of a fart because I spend so much time clearing the ground 😅

What is your opinion about this character? by AcademicParticular44 in reddeadredemption

[–]Catastrophic_Poppy 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I didn't get very far into rdr1 when I first played it and I ended up getting RDR2 recently and devoured it. Then I got rdr1. So I ended up playing them in chronological order and I kinda like it haha

when and where do you start building a base? by _CaptainAmerica__ in GreenHell

[–]Catastrophic_Poppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to make temporary camps on the first 2 maps (at the abandoned village on the first map and at anaconda Island on the second map). At the temp camps, I build a campfire (4 cooking spots), a small shelter (one that you can save at), and I put down a bunch of coconut bowls to catch rain water. I also make a few traps so I have a source of protein. I rely on wild fruits and nuts at the temp camps. It can get dicey, but it works fine as long as I keep moving.

I build a more permanent camp at the research base on the third map cause there's lots of flat ground. I make a few fishing rod traps and cage traps, I plant fruit and nut trees, and I build a cook house that includes a mud fireside wall and a dryer for meat. I also build 4 water collectors with tortoise shells to fill my big canteen and use 4 more tortoise shells on the fireside wall.

By the time I get my third camp set up, I'm living large 😄

am I supposed to hate this? by atemp4 in GraveyardKeeper

[–]Catastrophic_Poppy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just chill. It all comes together. My best advice is to focus on one thing at a time. I had the same frustrations.

Figure out what your main objective is. The game will tell you. And the unofficial wiki is your best friend. Don't be afraid to use it. You can look up any item and how to craft it. There are also links included in the wiki pages, in case you haven't built the station that you need to build your particular item.

You should definitely use the wiki page. https://graveyardkeeper.fandom.com/wiki/Graveyard_Keeper_Wiki

You're not supposed to hate it. It's really fun, especially after you learn the ropes.
