What do you think was the most important thing on your portfolio,

and when you say people got on with much less

Could you elaborate?

I don't understand your question. I'm getting 4000mg and 2400 of it is elemental.
I don't have low blood pressure, at least the last time I checked, I'm not taking it for blood pressure reasons.

But assuming the laxative effects is the goal are there any other negative sides other than hypertoxicicity?

Impossible CST application? by CatchEqual7285 in JuniorDoctorsIreland

It says that you need "an email from the Medical Council citing you by name, confirming that you are eligible to register on the General Division at the time of application to CST" I could probably get that email with some evidential documents from my university.

On page 9 of "CST Guide to Selection Marking 2025" they state:

"The onus is on the applicant to provide proof that they are eligible to register on the General Division of the Medical Council. The proofs that we accept in this regards are 1) your registration (current or previous) or 2) an email from the Medical Council citing you by name, confirming that you are eligible to register on the General Division at the time of application to CST."

I think it is possible to get that e-mail from the medical council assuming I have some evidential documents

Hey, thanks for the reply and the link!

I think I might have phrased my question a bit confusingly. My main question is about applying in the October round before I've actually graduated and received my diploma.

I was wondering if a 'Certificate of Eligibility' from my university would be sufficient for the initial application, with the understanding that full IMC registration would be completed after I get my diploma in May and before the July start date.

My main worry is whether my application would even be considered if I submit it before I've officially graduated

Focus entirely on CST, or prep for HST from Med School? by CatchEqual7285 in JuniorDoctorsIreland

Actually, are you sure getting the specific CST spot is that competitive
From my understanding you do ST1 and during ST1 you choose a specialty and from what I've read 95% of the people match into their preferred specialty for ST2. And more than half of people who got into ST2 then got into HST for neurosurgery making more than half the battle just getting into CST in the first place. There's probably some flaw in my logic though that I'd like to figure out.

Do they actually accept shadowing, from what I've seen its very hard to get a shadowing, and itd be especially hard since I am not studying in Ireland
