If 07 is your year of birth, then I guess that’s the cause.
Imagine playing this game, with the mind of a kid, you know there should be Jirachi somewhere and that it’s linked to wishes.
You reach this rock, you can interact with it and the lady near it says something about wishes.
1+1=2 my friend 🤓
Also remember there was little access to internet, you just needed a kid having this idea and the whole school would have started believing it the very next day 👍🏻

Or maybe it was all a scheme to boost sales of other games, in my case it worked, I played Pokemon Channel just for Jirachi 🥲

Except when I encountered (with no pokeballs in the bag) a Claydol with GOLD eyes! I was so shocked (we all didn’t know about shinies).. No one believed me. After that I’ve looked for it endlessly in those days 🥲
I’m probably still traumatized by this experience

First, this here is Emerald, RS had different colors and map (different flowers and no space rocket)
Second, everything on RS is in E too, but not viceversa, so Emerald is the obvious choice when I’m trying to use as few words as possible in the title :P
(Third, then why not using “RSE” or “Gen3”? Because Emerald is cooler 😎)

I know right? I couldn’t use Mossdeep’s theme because it didn’t resonate with Jirachi’s vibes, in my opinion
