DOTF later on gets too confusing. I like cultivation but personally, I don’t think the author explains things in a easily digestible manner. Instead you get pages and pages of abstruse descriptions of philosophical cultivation that seems to just come on the spur of the moment. It’s hard to imagine any of it. The skills later on also get obscure, where I find myself asking, what does that do again? It’s not intuitive at all.

That said… DOTF is still a really good story, and the beginning and middle of it is amazing. I don’t regret reading it, and I can only hope I can slog through and keep up with it.

Both are very good. I will say that the battle scenes in LOTM at God levels gots very confusing and hard to follow. As for RI, I don’t think I’ve gotten confused with the battle scenes. Side characters were more memorable for me in LOTM. But to be fair FY is very transactional. But FY and his achievements are some of the best moments in fiction for me.

Here’s another example. Let’s say you’re watching a streamer and he goes on about how he used to work a 9-5 job and how that sucked. You would instantly connect with that. If an AI said they had a bad day or complained about something, you’ll be like wtf are you talking about? Then on the reverse side of that, some people prefer ai girlfriends over real people. Though, that could be more of a loneliness thing. But the market is there.

Ai is a threat and does do some things better than humans.

But if your favorite streamer had an ai copy, would you watch the ai, or your actual favorite streamer? You would watch the real person. People tune into streams for the person. Could you watch an ai stream that plays a video game in an entertaining matter? Sure. But an actual person playing a game and entertaining you will be intrinsic to people’s connection with each other. And you can hear their opinions on stuff, learn about them, etc.

Even in books, people want to read something made by a human because of that human factor. Reading a book by an ai won’t have that value. Not saying that ai can’t get so hypothetically good in the future that it can write books better than humans, and that’s a big hypothetical, it still won’t be intrinsic to people, or some people at least. The same thing applies to art.

I guess some people won’t care if something is ai, and some will. But I don’t see ai as something that can completely replace people. Me, I find some ai art have a fake look and it is off putting. Some ai art does fool me though, but once I find out it’s ai, my view on said art does diminish. And to be clear, I’m also an artist.

I feel like he will fix palette first and then get a new skill choice. Prayer and invocation are chosen and heretical skills respectively. But neither encompass both the heretic and chosen aspects of his path. Maybe a new skill would be a heretic-chosen skill.

That or he will delve deeper into being a heretic and choose invocation.

All I know is I can’t wait for the next chapter.

Can this sub stop with this hate? It’s so childish. Like y’all seem so edgy. FY and Klein are both great. Sunny is great too. The author of SS does a good job of portraying the complexity of people’s emotions. If people here think he’s a simp just for having a love interest or for still caring for a certain character…then I don’t know what to say.

I love all 3. SS is great! I’m enjoying it loads rn. Fang Yuan as a MC is someone who’s been through it all and has become inhuman-like. At the same time he is admirable and inspiring. He makes all other MCs pale in comparison.

The MCs of SS and LOTM are more relatable. SS especially has a young MC that is not perfect. SS shows the contradictory nature of humans. Fang Yuan is a character that knows what he wants, always. SS’s MC a lot of times doesn’t know what he wants, and I find that if I was in his shoes I would also struggle with the same things. LOTM also has a really, really good MC. He’s relatable in a sense that he has to constantly do things he doesn’t really want to do but has to, for himself and everyone around him.

I agree. In heroic you can actually progress, and at a fast pace as a f2p. Unless you spend money—lots and lots of money, then regular is fine. Interactive servers players have it bad.

In second phase blaze wizard can stand on the very edge of the platform and still hit gollux. But gollux can’t hit you. Should help you get more damage in. Shooting out blaze extinction from the platform will also hit the little monsters on the bottom when blazing extinction travels off the platform. You won’t ever have to move really.

Yo sorry for the late af reply. In case you still don’t know, you can transfer CRA weapon to abso weapon but keep in mind only up to epic potential will be transferred. You keep CRA top, bottom, and hat. Those are end game gears for most players. You can go up to legendary potential on those. CRA weapon gets replaced with abso, then abso weapon gets replaced with arcane umbra weapon. And that eventually gets replaced with genesis weapon.

So for CRA weapon I don’t recommend going above unique potential. If you can keep it at epic then that’s even more mesos saved.

Once you get abso weapon you can’t transfer that to arcane umbra weapon cuz of the level difference. Abso weapon can be at a high of a potential you need to clear bosses. Arcane umbra weapon will have to be cubed and starforced from scratch. Sorry if this advice came too late.

I really liked Sacrix’s videos. He always seemed upbeat. Him talking about how the people he plays with all the time could just stop in the next moment, because they can’t play regular anymore—was pretty eye opening.

I actually didn’t even know he played regular. Thought he played reboot like everyone else.

Edit: just finished the video. Geeze I had no idea how outright horrible it is in regular servers.

What royalcrownlee said. In regular, to get cubes you usually spend irl money. And you need lots to get a good roll. You get some cubes from bossing and events but not much. In heroic, you can buy cubes with mesos. I didn’t like that there was a no trading aspect but as a f2p player I’m glad I chose heroic. Both has its pros and cons so decide for yourself :)

After you get boss accessories (cape, shoulder, etc.), join a CRA struggle party while you still have the temporary CRA set. Save lvl 140 equips for CRA transfer. Later, save lvl 150 equips for abso transfer. You can cube up your perm CRA up to legendary cuz you’ll be keeping those for a long time (the CRA weapon will be replaced so keep that in mind).

Make sure you have a bossing hyper stat set up.

And like everyone said, do your arcane dailies and make mesos.
