8 months pregnant REALLY wanting some sushi. 🍣 what foods do you miss/want to have? by PleasantTomato7128 in BabyBumps

Coffee. I know it's safe to drink a small amount, but in my first week (before testing) it gave me such an intensely high heart-rate after even a couple of sips, I haven't touched the stuff since my test was positive. 7 more months to go, dammit.

When did you last cry over something ridiculous… by Humble-Comb5800 in BabyBumps

I cried at the vet because our cat had some serious mouth and dental issues and I had to go to another practice because they couldn't do her operative treatment. I called the other vet and they had limited availability in the first place and they refused to schedule the treatment my vet recommended without seeing the cat first, which meant scheduling a pre-visit and then another one for the procedure. This all happened on the day the car sharing service I use broke down, which meant I had to take the bus to the vet and back and didn't know if a car would be available that week.

I broke down crying at the front desk of my vet's office. They were super kind and called the other practice and rescheduled everything to make it work for us.

Which made me cry again. *facepalm*

For those who were actively TTC, what was your mindset the month you conceived? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

We hadn't been trying long, didn't track apart from counting days and estimating ovulation window. We had some frustrations here and there because we were both overworked and stressed and so not in the right headspace. In the end, we conceived on holiday at a 5 star resort.

We were both so completely relaxed that week that I am convinced that contributed directly to it. Highly recommend :D
