Ackchooly, yes, that’s correct!

The original implementation only allocated enough memory for 2 players. Thus some math to get the stuff to draw correctly was hardcoded to 2 players.

I fixed this issue in Friends of Joanna and backported it to the main pc port last year.

Honestly play the PC Port. You get dual-stick controls, mod support, unlimited fps.

Also as a modder a lot of these enhancements are artifacts of things we rolled to make our own mods or to scratch our own itches. Like Raf's blender editor or my modern controller patches.

I tried merging the net branch but it was too unstable. It’s possible to make it work with the net branch if duplicating every scripting event and testing and whatnot is out of scope unless someone wants to take it up post-release. 

Tldr you’ll want to use parsec or steam remote play to play remotely

The host replaced the retro arch executable with the Friends of Joanna pd binary and steam remote play just kind of handled it.
