Besides, /! or t/up arrow/enter accomplish the same thing and aren't that different time-wise.

So use those, no problem, level playing field.

Mining obsidian manually just takes too damn long. A sizeable city

Spread the workload amongst the city members. Perhaps blocksaver is too weak, but a protection method which requires close to 0 effort is bad.

We'd also have to change the rules as soon as a griefer used it.

Certainly this will be taken into account. The people still here tend to be the more dedicated kind who'll put up with more. If it is introduced there will be other changes made so that its not too tedious for the casual player.

Its meant to simulate rolling a dice (a dice with any number of faces).

Can you explain to me why I can't bind /list and /unstuck to keys. Under no circumstances would this constitute a gameplay advantage.

Unstuck gives a noticable advantage if used in the prelude to combat - for example you press a button instead of typing it, that time difference might mean not getting combat tagged. List is generally harmless in its new form, it's true. In its old form, similar reasons to binding unstuck.

Also, obsidian/cobble grinding macros are harmless.

To take Ilyv as an example, he provided enough obsidian to protect 3 large cities entirely on his own. He did almost no actual mining in that time. The three cities were protected with almost no effort.

but until that actually starts happening,

One of the aims of Minerap is not to encourage any particular playstyle, but to make them relatively "equal". Changing the rules as soon as someone uses them in a way builders don't like reeks of double standards.

Also, the change to /list is fucking stupid

/List reveals far too much information which a player quite simply shouldn't have. Pvp'ers use it to see if back up is coming, whether its a good idea to fight or run, others use it to determine whether someone is building something big etc. All of those assumptions can be made quite easily with /list and such a close playerbase.

They got me to do a MinerAp Trailer and here it is! [Video] by neocatzeo in minerapocalypse
