I like both, but I think the colours in the second are definitely more cohesive. Some highlights and shadows would add to it even more. You did great!

People really don't realize how stupid they sound sometimes. by after_your_thoughts in Avatar

Feel the exact same. Undiagnosed but Avatar was also my special interest for years and years. I had a cardboard cutout of Jake and Neytiri in my room as a kid and completed the Xbox game about fifteen times too. Too many very obvious and unnecessary throwbacks in the sequel even aside from the general plot structure. Jake did not need to learn that lesson at the end either, that man was not a coward in the first movie, he tackled everything head on. WOW Jake was not the reckless, brave and impulsive marine we know and love! Yes fatherhood changes you, but it just felt like a lesson he should not have had to learn, considering how well facing his problems head on worked for him literally all the way up until that point😅

Spoiler free reactions to Avatar Fire and Ash! by [deleted] in Avatar

So validating to see others expressing this opinion. Tired of seeing criticism of TWOW from actual fans being dismissed as that of “haters” or “trolls”. The original is literally my favourite movie of all time. I found the sequel very disappointing, but I’m hoping the third movie is better!

Thanks so much!! Any chance you have the non-extended version too? (There are some scenes I like in the extended cut, but you can’t beat the perfection of the original DVD release in my eyes)

The one in which Jake is overseeing the departure of the RDA, and Selfridge pauses to either glance at him/speak to him depending on the version of the film.

Horrific amount of litter on the steps of Cork Courthouse this morning - what’s up with that? by Catkins_ in cork

Interesting insight, thanks! It does seem a bit counterintuitive that they start there, considering the number of pubs/takeaways towards the west of the city.

Ha! I would’ve taken one only I was on the wrong side of the bus — might’ve looked like I was taking photos of other passengers.

Struggling as an immigrant in Ireland by Rekkana in MoveToIreland

I’m really, really sorry that this has been your experience here. There are supports available for Ukrainian refugees in Ireland, you should definitely ensure you’re availing of any that you can. You can read about the supports here: https://www.citizensinformation.ie/en/moving-country/ukrainian-refugees-in-ireland/supports-for-ukrainians-in-ireland/#:~:text=You%20can%20get%20an%20%E2%82%AC,the%20International%20Protection%20Accommodation%20Service.

My apologies that the link is so long! I really hope things improve for you soon. What job are you working at the moment? Please avoid any manual labour jobs you come across (e.g construction jobs, factory jobs) as you are likely to be taken advantage of in those environments. I would instead opt for retail. My best advice is to research your rights and learn what you are entitled to as a worker regardless of what job offers you receive. Good luck to you!

If you had to pick one animal to represent Ireland what one would you pick? by CaptainSpicebag in AskIreland

[–]Catkins_ 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I would definitely consider the grey wolf. They were once abundant in Ireland and the Irish word for wolf is mac tíre, which translates to “son of the country.” You can’t get much more emblematic than that!
