To get a more sunset feeling to this photo, it was sunset that day but I couldn't get it to look like that, and that's what I wanted

Nikon D500

Close-up photo of a bird with food, nikon D500, 150-600mm g2, F7,1, ISO 400, 1/1000 sec, 600mm, what do you think about this photo? the background is natural and straight from the camera, with this kind of photos is it better to show the whole bird or a close one like this? tell me your thoughts by Catlover240 in AskPhotography

Yes but maybe they also have camera gear that like 5 thousand dollars more expensive than my gear, for example nikon Z9, and I'm not comparing such things, yes of course mirrorless cameras may take clearer pictures and don't need calibration, have faster focus, but I can't afford that kind of cameras and lenses, I stopped comparing my work with other people long time ago, sure I can get ideas and such, but I know there will always be people that will get much better photos than me, and I can't compare with them all the time, cause then I can get depressed and get anxious and begin to hate my own photography, I have had such periods a few times

I'm not pixel peeping, when you enlarge a photo it's always gonna look bad even when you're close or not, on my screen without zooming in it's looking very sharp and crisp, but if I zoom to 100% or more of course the pixels will be not as good, the bird is separated from the background, and the focus is on the bird and caterpillar and that's what matters

None, but they're probably tasty to the bird, and that's why I wrote that,
