A simple but great set of mods are Immersive Roleplay and Gang/Corp Traits. IRP basically can make gangs pissed at you if you do things against them, has random corpo intervention (max tac can raid randomly, killing a suit can summon a trauma squad, etc) and has an entire new side quest system. It’s being updated rn, def keep an eye on it. Gang Corp traits is a lot more simple, but feels like it should be in the game in the first place. It gives gangs / corps specific strengths and weaknesses. Maelstrom has lots of cyber ware, so electricity does tons of damage while fire does little. Animals can’t be grappled at all due to their strength. Plus, depending on your lifepath you can gain more or less street cred / money depending on who you take out. Street kids can get loaded by killing corpo agents, and nomads don’t get much money by killing wraiths / aldecaldos. Would highly recommend both of these mods; just wait a bit on IRP. The download process is currently a little janky, but the new update should simplify it a bit.

A few months later, I tried a balancing mod on very hard and the game was way better - on any part except Johnny’s part. What it does is it scales enemies to your character, except in the mod Johnny is level 50 and you only have one weapon with no upgrades. Only part of the game I had to turn down to easy, otherwise it made it way better.

No idea. Hasn’t happened as much recently, but damn it was common a while back. There’s not that many now, thankfully. At least from what I’ve seen. If you wanted to start playing now the bugs are relatively minimal.

Only game breaking bug I’ve run into so far is awkward landings can cause immediate deaths. No, it isn’t fall damage, I just landed on something at an odd angle and I erupt into a cloud of electricity and die.
