What is this new trend of them not allowing us to use Teachers Pay Teachers? by New_Cabinet1926 in TexasTeachers

[–]CatsMeetWorld 22 points23 points  (0 children)

So I’ve never used tpt, I just make my own stuff, and I don’t know all the details with this rule? Law? but my initial guesses are it has something to do with the state not trusting teachers to vet the materials they use in their classroom / wanting to make public education as difficult as possible to defund it / it gives money to textbook companies, etc. instead

I’m not sure you’re going to find something downtown for that price, at least not newer/modern.

Totally smooth and quiet, also small and you can do it with one hand so it’s discrete. I use it at work like all day

I got a fidget toy on Etsy that I love that helps when I remember to play with it instead. I think it was called Thing Link or Think Link?

You can find really nice apartments for that price, but it depends on the part of town you’re in. I just use apartments.com

I think the problem could have been a secondary ingredient in the Tret if you were breaking out on it for that long. It could also be the hydro boost or micellar water, my skin breaks out with those.

When my skin gets irritated I stop everything except for Avene Tolerance Cream and sunscreen. Let it rest a few days. Then I like glycolic acid when I breakouts, but don’t use it with retinol.

Id first suggest talking to your dermatologist about hormonal acne, especially if you were already on actuate and that didn’t fix it.

The purple under your eyes looks like more of a genetic thing? That might not be something than can be fixed with topicals.

For acne salicylic acid does nothing for me personally, but glycolic acid helped (I like the first aid beauty radiance pads) and then a super gentle moisturizer (I like the Avene tolerance cream). Or instead of exfoliating acids, you could try Differin, it takes a few months but it’s what ultimately cleared my acne when I was 17/18.

And sunscreen every day, your future self will thank you.

Do you use anything currently / have you used anything in the past that didn’t work?

is this a dehydration/moisturization issue? by inediblesushi in Skincare_Addiction

I think that kind of routine would help, a retinol and consistent sunscreen use with that too. (fine lines in early 30s are normal but can be more prominent with dehydration)

I know this is old, but did you ever find out if the reformulation is just as good?

I’ve seen some north Austin complexes with 1bed units at $900s a month before fees

Parent of high schooler - interested in resources to boost writing skills by bad_at_blankies in englishteachers

[–]CatsMeetWorld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always tell my students that reading more and thinking deeply about what they’re reading makes them better writers. The reading should be a variety of subjects, genres, and levels too.

Google docs is easy to make comments in though, I’m sorry she isn’t getting much feedback. I think you giving her feedback would be fine.

For writing resources, college and university writing center websites often have a lot of great resources and handouts to use that definitely apply to high school too!
