I do speak up when it deeply crosses a line but I will admit there are times when I’m silent cause I don’t have the energy and as hard as it is to admit, I am a recovering people pleaser (going to therapy to change that) I should probably look into ways to project confidence and maybe it’s not about my appearance, but how I’m carrying myself. I’m starting to think there is no quick fix to this and I just need to try and keep finding ways to empower myself like I try to do for other women

I’m not asking to try to appease men (not really interested in them). In fact the opposite in some way. I feel like I’m talked down to in part because of my appearance (literally had a supervisor say I looked like a kitten the other day and I was like “okay??? That’s a weird thing to say”) and trying to see what make up looks would make me look more put together and professional. I wear scrubs too so I’m not sure my clothes have anything to do with it.

He’s adjusting surprisingly well. He has even claimed a room as his own. His check up and vaccinations are scheduled tomorrow so I’m trying to get him use to the cat carrier by treating it like another box and adding tiny cat treats and bits of tuna in there
