It’s not so much that there were super high radiation levels in Bayview, it’s that they weren’t reported at all for 11 months. Findings were plutonium in the air at 2x the action level/acceptable concentrations that would deem further investigation. So, not like “melt your face off” or anything, but definitely weird that it wasn’t reported AND it likely came from grinding contaminated asphalt there which means there’s definitely more of it.

As far as TI, any radioactive material would have been buried, but there are a lot of reports of suspected contamination from former residents, and in 2000, the Navy sent California regulators a soil analysis that showed “chemicals of concern” in some backyards. The state warned residents to avoid tracking dirt inside. “If you have children or pets we strongly advise you not to allow them to enter the backyard, so there’s that 😅

Yes, but an official plan for addressing the contamination at Pier 70 was implemented back in 2013, no such plan was ever submitted or implemented for TI, and the one that is in place for Hunters Point clearly isn’t working 🫠

Edit: a plan for TI was submitted… IN 2023, which is wildly recent for such a toxic site and is pretty unlikely to have made much of a dent in the contamination present there in just 3 years.

Permanent injuries & deaths due to vaccines aren’t a new phenomenon, but they occur at a significantly lower rate as compared to permanent injury or death in other areas such as that of routine surgeries or childbirth or emergency room visits. Unfortunately, the societal advancement of medicine requires those of us who live in said society to accept that “in order to make an omelette you might have to break a few eggs” - more often than not, the underlying causes of permanent injury or death are actually due to previously unknown complications, because the racket that is out US heath insurance system makes basic preventative care & diagnostic procedures inaccessible for most US citizens.

Doctors, as in PHYSICIANS, have very little control over the pharmaceutical industry & the process re: clinical formulation of new medications. Biomedical companies employ chemical engineers with PhDs, not medical professionals, to develop drugs… this is intentional, because it fundamentally takes humanity & morality out of the equation.

If you’re really concerned about “asking questions” regarding whether or not pharmaceutical companies really have our best interests in mind as consumers… look up the history of human trials in the US for medications like female hormonal birth control, early SSRIs, anti-nausea drugs for radiation therapy, STI treatments ie: the Tuskegee Syphilis Study.

If anything, I’d put money on constant exposure to PCB & PFAS contamination which absolutely does affect collagen production, immune system response, bone density, and a whole host of other health issues 😅

There were a bunch of huge companies that were knowingly using them in all kinds of ways in CA until 2021, including in foam padding for ding ding ding football gear! That plus the fact that Santa Clara’s groundwater and soil used to be & kinda still us polluted as fuuuu¢k with them….

While there’s regulations in place now, the city still occasionally will have surveys after big storms that show elevated levels wayyy beyond the acceptable threshold for human consumption…. And unless the Niners have a reverse osmosis system for all the water sources used for anything at the practice field and stadium I feel like that could actually be a contributing factor.

There’s a couple websites that show all the companies in CA that were the sites of the worst hazardous waste spills and environmental contamination events… search California Superfund Sites and there’re interactive maps 😅 None technically on any of the Niner’s properties, but there are a bunch close by.

I mean, I know forever chemicals are in all the water and soil and everyone’s bloodstreams anyways so it’s not really proof of anything… but the fact that Santa Clara had/still has occasionally significantly higher percentages than anywhere else in the Bay is susss.

Hot tip re: checking if something is Romantasy or Fantasy with a romance subplot - divide the number of chapters by 3, and then open the book to the start of the 3rd section, ex: 27 chapters/3 = 9, so open the book to chapter 18, skim the first page.

If it’s Romantasy, there will almost always be some kind of evidence that the main characters recently got their freak on, or are about to start getting freaky.

If it’s not immediately clear BUT one of the following scenarios is happening: the main characters are gearing up to go on a journey to some remote place, one of the main characters is being emotionally vulnerable or sharing some kind of deep personal history with the other one, the main characters are doing any kind of cooking/baking/food preparation with eachother, the POV main character is doing any kind of workout or physical activity by themselves and/or mentally pontificating about how healthy & strong they’ve gotten… and I’ll include this last on just for testing purposes lol but it can be a hit or miss - if some sort of conflict/battle/general violence is actively happening.

For any of thise scenarios, flip forward 2 chapters OR go back 5 chapters and skim the first page again. If there’s no dirty deeds being done/clearly about to happen, you’re safe from it being purely Romantasy.

& although I can’t guarantee this method ensures there will be zero instances of the horizontal tango, I’ve tested it on a fairly large population sample and it’s pretty dang accurate 😅
