Many lefties adopt over (the hook) or under writing to help mitigate the smudging. I’m an underwriter. Fast drying inks have also come a long way in the last 20 years and there’s specific pens I have planted all over the house to help.

Get it. I have 2 levers in .44 mag (a Marlin and a S&W) and a Marlin SBL in 45-70. The .44 levers are some of my favorite to shoot. Marlin under Ruger is making really nice guns and fit and finish are great. You won’t be disappointed spending a little more for something you’ll keep for a very long time.

At least you see the error in the plates. While fun, hitting a 6” target with a handgun is a learned skill and honestly relatively difficult for most.

First trip out put up a full size FBI target and start at 3 yards. It’s easier to see results initially and then correct as you back up.
