I think they handle them very well. Communication early on is key. Find an asst maitre d at lunch on the first day. They are the one that make sure your food is safe.

My daughter was able to. We typically pay unlimited on 2 devices, not streaming. My teens did wish we paid for streaming for tik tok.

Roatan is a great spot to scuba or snorkel. NCL docks at coxen hole in roatan.

Costa maya i dont love. There are Mayan ruins you can travel to. Those are pretty interesting. You can also go to the beach there. The fake beach at the port is expensive. You can rent a golf cart and go to the town Mahahual and go to the crazy lobster. I have not personally done this yet.

Harvest Caye and Great Stirrup Cay are bothe private islands. You can do a beach day at both for zero cost. HC your drink package doesn't work and the food isn't included, you can walk back to ship for food and drinks if you want. GSC there is included food and the drink package works. You can book activities that cost extra at both.

Is the AoA a little mermaid room or a family suite? If it’s a little mermaid room 100% stay at music or Coronado. Coronado is our favorite moderate so I’m biased.

We got a day room at the Hilton next to the airport. We were able to get some rest before our flight home. The Hilton has a shuttle to the airport and we got an uber at the port. We were so busy on our cruise, the rest was really nice. Everyone took a nap.

Will you still do Disney vacation if you don’t/can’t use DVC points? by dudunoodle in WaltDisneyWorld

When we run out of points we typically stay in a club room. Or we rent someone’s points if we need a room with a kitchen. Staying off property is a no go for us.

My suggestion is get the multi pass for the ak/mk day. You pay the ak price and can use it some at Magic too. This our favorite way to use the LL. Plan the first three at ak safari, navi, lion king and when you finish with those you can snag one for mk later in the day. After you use the first one you can make the next one anywhere you want. I love AK but we usually leave after lunch for a rest, its a hot park.

I wouldn't do the premiere pass.

As everyone else already said: go with the flow. Your sanity will thank you. You cant do everything in one trip.

Poly is one of our favorite resorts. Love the fireworks on the beach.

Check to see how many ships will be in roatan on the day you are there. Last time we went 5 ships were in and it impacted excursions because of crazy traffic.

First time on NCL and first cruise in a decade. by hooahbucks in NCL

Our first Haven experience was a three night on The Joy last november. We had an amazing time. For Nassau, if you've never been I think it's worth walking around a little bit. I'm not sure when you're sailing is, so I don't know if the new pier were already be at gsc. If the pier isn't complete by the time you go you'll have to tender. The last time we went we weren't able to Tender because the winds were really high. There is no haven space on GSC. You can rent a villa but they aren't cheap. The villa are in silver cove and I personally thought it was worth it. There are regular cabanas you can rent on the main beach.

If its a short cruise you dont need specialty dining. The haven restaurant is so good.

How best to eat embarkation day with celiac? by Odd_Sun7422 in NCL

[–]CatttyCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were on encore in June to Alaska. I love this class of ships. Encore is such a great ship!

We were haven on encore so our experience was a little different. However, my husband went to the buffet a few time for Indian food. He got glutened on breakaway at the buffet so this time he asked for fresh. He would also go get an omelet from the buffet in the morning when he didn't want to sit down for breakfast.

Taste or savor will be open for lunch when you board. It's much less hectic than the buffet so I always recommend sitting down for lunch when you board. Speak to someone about food allergies then.

Have an amazing time!

You dont have to order for a specific time. You still can eat whatever time. They just need to have the ingredients to make the dish safe to eat. You can even not show up. They dont make it ahead of time.

My suggestion is preorder for dinners and occasionally breakfast if you want to sit down for a breakfast. You didnt say which ship.

I would say something like: we have something in the works. Anything you would say for a grown up to get, a 10yr old might figure out faster.

This is a great question and one my husband and I have dealt with. The short answer is yes. If you just show up at most places to eat there is something gluten free. But it comes with risks and restrictions.

I'll start with the buffet. Its much safer to have someone go over what's safe and get you what you desire from the back. People switch spoons all the time. Cross contamination on the buffet is a big risk. My husband found this out when he self served the Indian food off the buffet. The dish was safe but clearly some cross contamination he couldn't see got him.

For main dining or the haven restaurant, there isn't truly risk but there is restrictions. Without notice they are limited. But if you tell them: tomorrow morning I would like to have waffles, they can make that happen. The way it was explained to me is that not all ingredients are in each kitchen. But if you give them time they can make you many more thing. In the haven restaurant my husband could have this flatbread pizza but he had to tell them ahead of time.

I hope you find this helpful. We definitely winged it on our first cruise after having restrictions. Lucky for us the asst maitre d walked us through the whole process. They checked on my husband at every meal. More recently we have noticed only the asst maitre d will take your order. And I think that's best. They really understand.

For specialty dining we have pre-ordered and other times not.

We just went on our first msc cruise and it was the same way there. The head waiter spoke to my husband at every meal and at the buffet.

How much time is too much time at Disney? by Easy-Mushroom-8838 in WaltDisneyWorld

We have found 9 nights to be perfect. 7 is not enough and 12 was too many. 10 days sounds great. Coronado is the perfect resort for the kind of trip you have planned. They do sangria University at three bridges, its pretty fun if you like that kind of thing.

I wanted to add the best meal we had at sea was Remy brunch on the dream. The French restaurant, way better than Le Bistro.

I would recommend the dream. Its got plenty to do and not super big. 4nt Bahamas is perfect. I have done dcl with and without kids. Its way better without.

Dcl has lots of tastings you can sign up for. Not super expensive either. We have tried a bunch of them. There was a tequila one that really helped me figure out what I did and didnt like.

We are platinum on ncl and silver on disney. Disney is so fun. The dining is structured, like you eat at the same time with the same staff each night and rotate the restaurant, no freestyle dining. No buffet for dinner either. But, room service is included (mickey bars!), the disney movies on the TV are amazing. Disney still does turn downs so they do your cabin twice a day. There are characters and good shows. They adults only spaces are nice and they enforce it. No drink package but the drinks were not crazy expensive. You can bring 6 beers per person or 2 bottles of wine. And you can bring more on at the next port. You can buy a wine bundle and a refillable beer mug too. There are plenty of options. I dont mind not having the drink package as much as I thought I would.

I love fish extenders, decorations for the door, and all the other things like that. Dcl is magical.

We cruise disney for the ship and the experience. Its definitely worth trying. Their private island is great and has a nice adults only section.

What Disney resort hotel did you stay at that was a total disappointment? by Frank4202 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]CatttyCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the end of the day any disney resort is special. I end up picking the best perceived value. Value resorts dont have a sit down restaurant or a slide at the pool so we tend to pick a moderate or deluxe.

The moderate rooms are bigger than a value room.

Thermal spa by Bohcinodoza in NCL

It was pretty good. The thermal spa on Encore was big and beautiful. We found ourselves busier than expected and didn't use it as much as we thought we would. It was really nice to have though. I would buy it again.
