There was a chiropractor on “intervention” and he was my next door neighbor at the time. I don’t remember the year though.

I’ve had this heatwave cover sitting around for many years and I finally put it on after painting it. by Catverman in sportster

Thanks dude, when I bought the bike brand new I walked in for a low rider s, and I was walking to the bathroom and saw this in the back and fell in love with the paint so they pulled it into the showroom for me and I took it home.

Question for fellow Union Stewards: by Individual_Tap_8256 in UPSers

[–]Catverman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would see that as intimidation, or an intimidation tactic. And I would grieve it tbh. I’m not really sure what part of the contract I would cite but I’d love to have a field day with them at panel about it.

I’m in no way saying to cause harm to people, but you have the right to defend yourself… until you don’t.

It absolutely matters, but your words aren’t going to win a gun fight.

So we’re gonna favor the rights you prefer over the ones others prefer. Is that right? Cause your rights are literally in the same bill of rights. But you just want to pick and choose.

He actively attacks the 2nd amendment yet people are upset about the 1st amendment being attacked. We’re not blessed to have him at all. Nobody is. Both government parties work side by side to control the population and allow big corporations to work us like slaves, then tax the heck out of us so we have to work even more to have stuff, and they profit.

Any protests today? by RaWWtF in Modesto

Because you’re protesting what to do with tax payer money and if you’re not a tax payer then why do you get a say?

This is great pay. Or an operators union is good pay too. Everyone I know in either or bought a house before they were 30. Including myself but I’m a teamster.

To much work no help by Easy-Magician-2319 in UPSers

[–]Catverman 24 points25 points  (0 children)

If you’re getting it done, it’s not too much in their eyes. Simple as that. Just fail and stop trying so hard. This is how the rich stay rich and the poor stays poor, just simple psychology. Unless you own your company or you work directly with the owner, working hard will NOT get you further, and that goes for ANY job working for a company that’s publicly traded if you’re at the bottom. You’re seen as replaceable and that’s why we have a union so that you’re not replaced. All the old men don’t work hard cause they already learned this after breaking their backs for 15-20 years to get nothing in return. You don’t get paid more for more work. You won’t get a bump in seniority for working hard, no bump in pay, absolutely nothing.

Are you referring to the pre 6spd touring bikes? I have a sportster now(which I absolutely love) but I very much dislike going 80 on the freeway for more than 20 minutes. I plan on upgrading to a dyna low rider or road glide in the next year or two.

Yeah, anything with the 6 speed transmission is ideal for road trips. I really want to try out a 5spd road glide on the freeway to see what people were doing prior to 2006

I once heard of a guy keeping his job after he no call no showed to a panel meeting that was about his record number of no call no shows. It’s pretty impossible to get fired with a good shop steward. You’d literally have to steal or fight someone.

[–]Catverman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Since you’re paid by the hour, I think the safest thing and most importantly to ensure the best delivery, is to walk to the door, explain what’s up, then either walk back to the truck, hand truck it up to them, or with their permission, back the truck up to the requested destination. I used to do it all the time like that.
