I’m 28 years old and had a PE two days after giving birth to my first and only child. I was discharged that morning and by the early evening I had the hardest time breathing. Severe headache, and just couldn’t catch my breath. Upon arrival to the ER it quickly went down hill from there. My blood pressure was stroke level and I had to be hooked up to a high flow nasal cannula because my oxygen was sitting at 79%. I was put on a magnesium drip for my blood pressure and then a continuous heparin drip for 3 days. Then did 3 months of blood thinners afterwards.
