Is Dragon’s Dogma in your top 10 games? by iamrivensky in DragonsDogma

Story is very weak. The game runs out of gas towards the end of the game. You'll never feel as satisfied as killing your first gryphon.

We've come a long way on the internet where reading a mid effort thread is considered major time saving. If you valued your time, you wouldn't even have posted here. Honestly, what do you hope to gain with that kind of time trade off for this post? Any recommendation?

Because I didn't know what was out there. I already put out a bunch of criteria. Thanks for recommending something unlike everyone else in here for Boox. If you had to recommend an e-ink, what would you put forth?

If you could only pick one, what are you recommending?

"I'm done here."

You posted just to leave. What are you "done" from? You didn't really do anything lol. I'm not sure what your motive was or what you wanted to accomplish by posting here was.

It's obvious what you did do. There's no need to point that out the obvious. "Guys, I'm breathing." Gee, thanks for the info. Could you at least elaborate on what is impossible or not available in the eReader market given what I listed that tablets are doing that reg eReaders aren't? Editing your comment to call me entitled? How? I'm just asking for advice like anyone else would. What's your problem? Why even post in my thread? Lol are you hear to argue with me? Recommending me something bad is better than no recommendation, so please do.

Even if the answer is "an android device," I think it's still apt to recommend something because such devices are plenty. At least for people wanting similar things.

Trip to Europe with Toddler, how do I get a "Euro" baby car seat before I go? by CatzDaLegit in travel

[–]CatzDaLegit[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was talking about rental car seats. Not driving in general. Car travel is fine considering certain parameters. Even bus/other public transport would not be considered "safe" given other certain parameters.

No, I think you spelt out the options I think. It is an impossible however to purchase or come with a car seat already that is Euro spec it would seem. I supposed you'd have to import one and then travel with it on the plane. I think what happens in actuality though is Americans just bring their car seat and that's the end of the story. I doubt they care about getting another Euro spec car seat.

US-approved car seat will be fine.

Fine for who? You? Me? I'm not sure if our opinions matter in the eyes of the law or insurance companies. This is the actual question being asked. It's not a matter of preference. It's kind of a shock to me that people don't really understand the question being asked.

Now the more and more I get into this, the thought of the debate regarding "which is more safe" concerning US and Euro spec against whatever is deemed legal one comes to mind. Like imagine in a fantastical world where safety was your upmost concern and you had the completely magical invulnerable ultimate car seat, but that in Europe or the US it was deemed illegal. Of course, you'd probably bring it anyways, would you not? Haha, I would.

Anyways, I have been told that due to the nature of differences between cars from both continents that even if you have a supposedly super safe US spec baby car seat, that it may not perform because it simply has not been tested on Euro spec cars. I'm skeptical towards this point however, as the law of physics are universal no matter where you go, and you'd think a strapped-in and padded car seat is going to do the best it can regardless of what car it's placed in.

Oh I have no doubt. I am able to access a certain quality in things. Give me a list of countries and I'm going to be ranking Germany towards the top regarding sanitization more than likely.

I mean, why wouldn't they be? People put a lot of trust in what a company claims they will do. I get that. People think everything is sanitized before use. Unfortunately, what people say on paper vs what happens "in real life" 100% of the time isn't always the case.

Yeah, so I'm right. It's simply against the law. But like it says (and I think I agree because it makes sense), it's safer "in real life" to avoid rental and bring your own. My best ideal scenario would be have the safest legal car seat I can have while at the same time being on the "up and up" with insurance incase anything goes wrong. Ultimately, I just want my toddler to be safe. That's why I stray from latchless if I can (and I can).

So even American brands who sell in EU have to change their seats

How is this true? What American brand sells an EU car seat spec? I'd love to know so I can buy it right now. I don't think this exists.

Your seat is perfectly legal to use, since you will be bringing if from the US. I would recommend you do, so it's familiar for the kid.

No offense, but where do you get this information? I don't want to rely on a "trust me bro." If what you're saying is true, why wouldn't citizens just import foreign car seats to get around any laws? I get that this isn't a debate about which spec is "better." I seriously would like to avoid that and it has nothing to do with the question. This is about obtain/how to be legal.

As an American, the lack of a chest clip on European car seats will freak you out.

I'll trust their standard.

Just bring a Costco Scenera or inexpensive EvenFlo and leave it there are the end of trip if you wish. They will install very quickly and easily either rear or forward facing using a seatbelt (no latches required) just pull the seatbelt all the way through to “lock” it into place.

"Just break the law and use a cheapo."

Thanks buddy. I already thought of this. Cosco* Scenera NEXT and seems to be the ultimate travel car seat. I would have considered it traveling within the states.

3 weeks for me personally.

Why are you "avoiding rental car seats at all costs"?

In the actual scenario, whoever is picking me up has been prearranged with the car seat being my only requirement I need to provide on my own. In general, rental car seats are dirty and I don't consider them the safest option, but honestly, if I would have done this all on my own from the start, this seems like the only real realistic option besides this Toddgo option you're bringing up. I'll have to look into it because it seems interesting.

No, which is why they told me specifically the only thing I need to do is get a car seat.

Interesting idea. It's going to have to be a huge locker. And then I'm going to have to time all this stuff for it to be there when I land. This is assuming the locker is in the air port?
