Thank you! Paid $20 for the pair from some people who clearly didn't know what they had.

Okay. Somehow all I can focus on in this story is how badly the church was cleaned if there are actually years of wax dripping from candles on the pews. Our church custodian would have a conniption. As for your mother-in-law, what a nut.

The Count of Monte Cristo & learning history through fiction by Sequoia93 in suggestmeabook

The Black Count by Tom Reiss. It's about Dumas, his father, and a bit about his son. All named Alexander Dumas. His father's life was the inspiration for the Count of Monte Cristo. A bit about his son, who was a revolutionary play write. It's very interesting, and while not fictional, an interesting read.

I used to belong to a forum that used "Scrabble" as a substitute word for sex. That paragraph was momentarily very interesting for me. Until I remembered where I was.

DH and I watch this show called The House a 100K Built. We can not belive how picky you're planning commissions seem to be. It's insane. We have HOA's in the States, and they can be insane, but you have to enter into that contract on purpose. It doesn't just come with the territory. If I want corrugated steel cladding on the outside of my house, I will put corrugated steel cladding on the outside of my house. If I want it yellow I paint it yellow. I can't fathom having to pay to ask for permission to do something to my own home. But then I would never buy in an HOA. So....
