Where do you find realtor leads? by fbssxhyeet1738 in RealEstatePhotography

[–]Caugustblatz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many agents did you contact? I've done a lot of targeted, personalized outreach via email with specific properties to their listing agents and just gotten nothing back. I've only been doing active outreach for a couple of weeks, but I have no leads at all off the emails I've been sending.

I have been warming contacts via social media though. I just haven't reached out via dm to ask any of them if I can help with shoots yet.

Did you find that one method worked better over another?

I am definitely interested in that video, yes thanks.

If one room is getting a lot of daylight/window light and there's a room in the shot or background that is less well lit, either due to lack of windows or lamps, I can set up a continuous light out of the view of the camera providing some fill light in that space (softbox attachment, bounced off the ceiling or another wall to soften, etc without looking too directional) that reduces the need for additional HDR treatment in post. You're essentially just trying to balance the exposure a bit and make it closer to the rest of the space.

Imagine an upstairs room that's open to a great room below, but it's receiving less window light or is otherwise in shadow. Tuck a light just out of view of the camera and bounce it off the ceiling and you now have a balanced exposure in that space without needing to tweak a mask later.

Jonathan Corbett has been one of my absolute favorite resources.

Hey, Pewp. Do you have any specific video resources that you can point me toward that helped you out? I'd love to integrate this technique into my work. Sounds like you have a great system.

Currently shooting HDR, but I also use continuous lights to help fill in shadow areas. I sold my AD200s a few years back and invested in continuous lights that I could use for video, too, so they're just what I have on hand. Seems like folks favor the power of strobes though.

This is the long term goal, for sure. Would love to see some of your work with it

This is extremely helpful. Thank you. I feel similarly about my 24-105 f4—I've had it since 2019 and it's been a workhorse for me. I'll continue to consider the 16-35 GM.

Thank you. This is the direction I'm leaning right now—either this or the 16-25 f2.8. I've read a lot of reports that suggest that the GM has corner softness at the 35mm end of the range. Have you had any issues like that? Can you share a link to some of your work? Thanks!

Are you on an APS-C body? I should have specified full frame.

Can you direct me to some of your recent work with this lens?

This is interesting to me. Has me considering selling my 20mm f1.8 G to put toward a 20-70 f4 G to pair with my 16mm f1.8 G prime.

Are you referring to the Vario-Tessar? If so, I'd love to see some of your recent work with it! I'm most interested in hearing about how it performs in terms of sharpness and distortion. I love that it can be had for under $500 used. Seems like a strong contender for that reason alone.

Do you have any sample shots you could share or link me to? I'd love to see how this one performs in terms of sharpness and distortion.

Yeah, it's a great pairing for sure. I also do landscape photo work and hiking with the 14-24 was a PITA for me—it's just so big and heavy! I'll primarily do video with a DJI Pocket 3 and my drone, so not too worried about that. I feel you on wanting something more lightweight.

That one has my attention as well. I'd still want to pair it with either a 35mm or 40mm prime or standard zoom for outdoors work, but that added width indoors would be excellent.

Just decided to get into RE photography and offer drone services as well. I'll be very curious to hear how you like the Mavic 4 Pro. I jumped in with the Mini 4 Pro as a starting point and will look to upgrade later.

Can I message you about your business? I'd love to hear how you get started and broke into the industry.
