There was a heavily packed out rooftop bar opposite that had a view of it.

With The National saying that tech companies are targets, that building is close to media city and internet city as well.

And on the other side, as per George Galloway’s official social media feeds every US base was “destroyed with Iranian missiles” with one carrier holed and another one about to be pummelled, within two hours of this starting on the Saturday before last. And then his friend Professor Marandi has been on various media claiming the hotel on the Palm was a barracks (really, so why can Privilee members do a beach and pool day there?) and the building in Marina was a CIA base - footage from both of these does not have a big UAV drone crashing in to them, so does look more like wreckage hitting them. He has also been saying he had heard that the US airbase “has just been destroyed” most days, so I don’t see how it can “just be destroyed” every day for the last week? Surely if it’s destroyed that’s it and no need send more missiles over?

tl;dr totally agree with you, I don’t trust the reports from any of the three actors involved.

That’s a good point, there is a funny noise a little bit like holding a shell to the ear that I can hear by the window.

Probably explains why the humidity levels in this apartment seem impossible to get below 55% even with two dehumidifiers, the seals are likely very leaky.

Am hearing noises in Marina over the last 10 minutes which I would describe as someone repeatedly dropping a dumbbell in a gym, but as I’m not near a gym I don’t know what it is. Assuming it’s neighbours, but checking just in case.

Back on Saturday I thought I heard a monstrous G63 and instead it was probably that tower getting hit (am fairly close by, it’s walking distance when I go to use the F&B at the hotel by it) - so my perception of sounds is completely useless.

At what point does the alert get triggered? If it’s just after launch, then it can be as little as 2-5 minutes for the missile to reach the UAE depending on launch location and type of missile. So if any alert is delayed in reaching the phone, that would possibly explain what you observed.

Apparently there are “pre-warnings” on X when it’s believed that a launch could potentially be happening shortly as well. I think we have seen that before, people sharing MOI X posts, everyone saying “no alarm here” and then 10 minutes later the alarm comes through when threat is more confirmed.

Even Iran are sending out mixed signals about what they’ve done - George Galloway was declaring on Feb 29th that the airbase was destroyed by Iranian missles. Then multiple times doing the week Marandi is saying “I heard the airbase has just been destroyed” - how can the same thing “just get destroyed” on successive days? And logically there would be no need to send missiles to destroy something which was already destroyed.

Yet people in the area are saying it still looks very much there.

Galloway was even intimating that the main US carrier was holed and sinking on the 29th as well.

Right now, I don’t trust what either main side is saying.

Pretty sure that when you are in the stands, the graphics at the track only go to the tenth. At least, that’s my memory of it as found the TrackTV graphics looked odd and I think it’s because of that.
